The Unknown Hashira (Demon Slayer x Reader)

[14: The Way to the Mission]

It's been a couple of hours since Y/n left Ubuyashiki's mansion, and they arrived at their mansion. As soon as they arrived, the kakushis already saw how happy the hashira is acting, and that means that they have a new mission or a new dish they discovered. 

"Y/n-san, why are you so happy?" One of the kakushis asked and Y/n hummed, holding their hand. "Uhm, Y/n-san?" 

"We have a new mission! Some demons decided to infiltrate a village, and now they're all living there! The Master asked me to kill the demons there!" The hashira said in such a happy tone, they then saw Tanjiro and the others so they run towards them. "Young boys! I have a new mission for us!" 

Tanjiro and the others looked at their side and saw Y/n running at them, he can smell that the hashira is happy! "Oh, good evening, Y/n-san. What made you so happy?" He asked and the hashira catch their breath first and started talking. 

"Well, I talked to the Master earlier on, and he gave me a mission! There is a village infiltrated by demons, the village is full of demons and we need to kill them!" The hashira said and Tanjiro was shocked about the mission. "Don't worry, I'll be with you!" 

The three boys were shocked, they get to see the hashira work. That means they get to see the breathing of the Unknown Hashira! All of them looked at each other and they nodded, then the hashira started jumping up, the ground shaking from how strong the hashira's jumps are! 

"Y/n-sama! Please don't jump so high! You might get injured before your mission!" The kakushis shouted making Y/n stop. "We'll help you pack your things so you can rest for a while. The village is a bit far from here, right?" 

"Yeah, the village is kinda far, it might take two days from my calculations," Y/n said and they walked into the mansion. "Well, let's eat dinner first and set out for our new mission, okay?" 

"Yes!" 

ʚɞ ʚɞ Y/n's POV ʚɞ ʚɞ

"Are you ready?" I asked Tanjiro and the others. They all nodded and I smiled. "Well, let's go!" I said as I picked up my bag full of food and run outside of my mansion. 

"Y/n-sama! Please take care, okay? We'll meet up with you once you're done with your mission for clean-up!" My kakushis screamed and I waved at them. "Bye, everyone! Be safe!" 

The gate out of my mansion opened and we were met with the dark dense forest that we've been living in for years. I smiled smelling the good scent of the dense trees, I also noticed that there are demons around. 

"It seems like the demons are waiting for us to come out, huh?" I said and I heard my boys agree. "Well, are you ready to fight some demons?" I asked and they nodded, well, Tanjiro and Inosuke did.

"Y/n-san! I don't want to go!" Zenitsu screamed and I sighed. "A demon village? That means there will be so many demons there! I don't want to die!" He screamed making me laugh and I hear him whine from that. 

"Oh, it's fine, sweetie! I'll protect you if bad things ever happened to you!" I said to him and I saw his eyes shine at me making me laugh even more. "But you gotta stand and walk with us, you can be by my side if you're scared." 

"Ugh, we should've left him!" 

"You're so mean to me, you boar head!" 

"HUH?" 

The two of them started bickering making me laugh, realizing that it's always lively if I have these two with me. I looked at Tanjiro and saw him letting Nezuko out, the girl saw me and immediately hugged me. "Ah, Nezuko!" Tanjiro complained and saw his sister rubbing her face on my stomach since that's the only thing that she can reach, I gave her a head pat making her smile. 

"Well, come on you two. Stop fighting and let's go. We need to kill those demons already!" I said seriously and they nodded, walking with me. "Also, watch your back and be aware of your surroundings, this mountain is notorious for demons, okay?" 

"Yes!"

"Let's set up here," I said as I set up a tent for the four of them. "You can sleep here and rest. I'll wake you up tomorrow morning." I said as I finished setting up the tent. 

"How about you, Y/n-san? Where are you going to sleep?" Tanjiro asked and I smiled at him. "We have another tent here, we could share-" 

"It's fine, young boy. I need to look out for demons, remember we're still in the woods so demons could jump in." As soon as I said that, we heard chuckling and ruffling from the bushes. "It seems like I was right." 

Demons emerged from the darkness, two, three, five, even more than I could count. All of the boys got ready to fight, even Nezuko is ready to fight, then I smirked. "Why don't you show me your weeks of training, yeah? Let's see if my training regimen is working for you guys." 

And they did show me. Decapitating the heads off those demons like it was nothing, well, those demons are the bottom-feeders. There's probably not even a percent of my brother's blood in them, but they're still a demon. 

They finished everything and I started clapping at them, they looked at me with a smile but their face changed. "Y/n-san! Look out!" 

I looked behind me and saw a huge demon, charging at me. I jumped up on a tree and looked down, he saw Tanjiro and the others and tried to catch them. "Now, that's not what you're going to do," I said. 

ʚɞ ʚɞ Third Person's POV ʚɞ ʚɞ

The demon sprinted forward to Tanjiro and the others, Tanjiro got ready to decapitate the demon, chanting the sixth form of the Water Breathing. When suddenly he heard... 

"Blood Breathing!" 

Everything happened so fast, suddenly the demon in front of him has stop trying to reach him. He blinked and the demon's head exploded, its blood gushing out of its head. He blinked again, then the whole body of the demon was cut to pieces, blood everywhere. 

"First form: Departure from Life." 

He looked up and saw Y/n holding their katana, he thought that the katana is normal but it was very long! It's at least more than one meter! He saw them slash their blade up in the air, the blood from their blade splashing somewhere. 

They also got a piece of cloth and wiped off the excess blood that was stuck to their katana. They sheathed their very long sword and slowly turned to them. Tanjiro's body stiffened and he shivered, because of what he saw. 

For a second there, he saw the red flaming eyes of the hashira. 

"Are you all okay?" Y/n asked, all of the boys nodded slowly. They saw Y/n look around and sighed. "Well, you can rest now. At least try to sleep, I'll look out for demons, don't worry." They said and everyone nodded, slowly getting in the tent. 

"That was... so cool..." Inosuke said and the others agreed, never wanting to forget about what happened. "I still feel the chills in my bones." The other two agreed again. 

For the whole night, the three boys kept on remembering that scene, even dreaming about it. 

It seems to be that they'll never forget about that.
