The Unknown Hashira (Demon Slayer x Reader)

[52: Comeback]

The war is over. The war that has been going on for years, so many lives has been taken by the man they've always wanted to kill, and it's all over now. The victors are the humans! They can live freely now, not quivering in fear every night. They can run and dance around every night without worrying that a demon will kill them.

It's all over. This fear is all over.

ʚɞ ʚɞ ʚɞ ʚɞ

It's been three months and the four younglings are currently all together in the clinic. Tanjiro is now fully healed, well, some of his body is ruined, like his right arm and left eye. 

Tanjiro remembered his last moments with Yushiro, it's been a while since he saw the man so he asked Nezuko. "Has Yushiro visited again?" He asked, worried about the young man. 

"No, he hasn't. I haven't heard of him yet." Nezuko said as she looked worried for the said boy. "So many people disappeared after that night. I'm not surprised if he did as well." Nezuko continued. 

This made Tanjiro realize something, remembering a certain someone that helped him till his last breath. "Where is Y/n-san, Nezuko?" The girl stiffened up when she heard this from Tanjiro, tears seems to have seeped into Nezuko's eyes. 

"Y/n-san... died." This made Tanjiro shocked, and immediately teared up at the news. "Kanao told me that all of the wounds of the hashiras and the other slayers that were hurt transferred to Y/n-san. I wanted to ask someone that knows why that happened but no one does. Even Kanao herself." Nezuko explained. 

"Kanao told me that Y/n-san died when we were all celebrating after you became normal again. Kanao went up to Y/n-san and told them to get healed up, but Y/n-san just told her that they must repent for their sins." Nezuko said. "After Y/n-san died, Kanao passed out from exhaustion and she looked for Y/n-san everywhere but she wasn't able to find their body." Nezuko continued. 

"Y/n-san didn't get burned?" Tanjiro asked and Nezuko shook her head. 

"No, Y/n-san didn't. Which doesn't make sense because their body should be on the battlefield, but no one saw them. They looked everywhere but no one found it." Nezuko said as she looked at the sky, thinking about what happened. "Also! The hashiras wanted to thank Y/n-san's kakushis for healing them and aiding them all the time, but they're also nowhere to be seen!" Nezuko said as she pouted making Tanjiro chuckle. 

Tanjiro looked at the sky and smiled, chuckling to himself. "I think... Y/n-san is alive. Being with them for so long I know their attitude by now." Tanjiro said as he held Nezuko's hand. "All of them are hiding for now. They'll be back." 

ʚɞ ʚɞ ʚɞ ʚɞ

All of the hashiras had one last meeting. Gyomei, Giyu, Obanai, Mitsuri, Muichiro and Sanemi is here. All of them survived because of the Unknown Hashira. Even if they won the war, they still feel sad, especially when they heard what happened to Y/n. 

Even so, Sanemi looks the worst. His eyes are red and puffy, already showing signs that he cried when he heard what happened to Y/n. Everyone noticed how the boy has taken a liking to Y/n. 

"This is the final hashira meeting. Gyomei, Giyu, Obanai, Mitsuri, Muichiro, and Sanemi." Kiriya said, the last master of the Demon Slayer Corps. "You're the only surviving hashiras, and many rand and file corps members died. However, we successfully eradicated the demons. Thus, the demon slayer corps disbands today."

"Understood." All of the hashiras said. 

"For many years, fighters such as yourselves risked your lives and fought bravely to save the people of the world. Everyone in the Ubuyashiki Family extends their heartfelt gratitude." Kiriya said as all three of them bowed down towards the hashiras. 

"Please don't bow!!" Giyu said. 

"We don't need any thanks! What held the demon slayer corps together was the Ubuyashiki family!" Sanemi said as everyone agreed. 

"Kiriya, you were awesome at your job so your father and all your ancestors must be very proud," Gyomei said and this made Kiriya cry. Mitsuri walked towards Kiriya and hugged the three children, comforting them after such a traumatic event. 

"We thank your family for always caring and supporting us, even if we're weird," Mitsuri murmured making everyone chuckle. All of them smile at each other as they disband the corps. 

ʚɞ ʚɞ ʚɞ ʚɞ

The hashira meeting finished and Sanemi walked towards his mansion again. Smiling when he remembered that his little brother is in his house waiting for him. He looked at the sky again, remembering his last moments with Y/n. 

"Shut up and stand up there. I'll talk about it after the war, so you better not die, got it?"

He grimaced and grumbled when he remembered what he did to Y/n. His eyes started tearing up again but he shook his head, denying the fact that he still misses Y/n. "That annoying brat, always lying to me!" He grumbled, and just kept on walking. 

After a couple of minutes, Sanemi arrived back at his mansion and was filled with an intoxicating scent. He smelled the air and remembers the scent, he just can't pinpoint where it comes from. "It can't be these flowers. These flowers don't smell that much." He murmured and walked towards the house. "Genya! Where does that smell come from?" he shouted and was confused when Genya didn't even answer him. 

He walked around the house and arrived at the garden, where the scent took him. He saw Genya talking to someone, he looked at that person and immediately froze. 

Genya felt that someone is looking at him and saw his brother behind him, immediately smiling. "Brother! They're here!!" Genya said as he run toward Sanemi. "They're here, brother!" 

"Wh-who's that?" Sanemi asked, he can't believe his eyes. He still doesn't want to believe it. 

"Y/n-san is alive! Look!" Genya said as he dragged his brother towards the said person. "See?" 

The person Sanemi is talking to turned around and faced him. Short black hair, [color] eyes looking straight at him, [color] lips smiling at him, and the same height that he met them. He was stunned, how can they be alive? Didn't they die from that many wounds? Even so, he was proven wrong when they spoke. 

"Welcome home, darling."
