"Yes, everything is covered in icing sugar and food coloring" You say
"What happened?" April asks
"Raph did it!" Mikey yells
"What?" Raph growls
"Nothing" Mikey squeaks.
The num-chuk wielding turtle ducks just in time to avoid a large glob of icing that was hurled at his face.
"Well.." You say, trying to find the spot to start "We started to roll out the chocolate crinkles and make the icing."
"Mikey then proceeded to get some of the icing sugar on his nose" Donnie says
"Raph then laughed about it and Mikey dumped some on him" Leo says "That's when things got really crazy."
"Please tell me the cookies were saved" April chuckles
"The dough didn't even make it out of the fridge" You laugh "We were just setting up."
You and April have a good laugh over that one. The kitchen looks as though there should be a couple hundred cookies being made, but the oven hadn't even been preheated yet.
"Please tell me you brought more cookie things like I asked" You ask amid giggles
"Yep" April says
After you and April help Leo and Donnie pull Mikey and Raph apart, you and April oversee the kitchen clean up and then you kick the guys out.
"But I want to make the cookies with you!" Mikey protests
"April and I are going to get the kitchen back in order" You say "We'll have everything set up in stations for you guys once you've cleaned up."
"But..." Mikey pouts
"Come on Mikey" Leo says, dragging his brother to the showers "Let Y/N Do what she needs to."
"Ok April" You say, heading to the fridge for the cookie dough "What shapes do we have?"
You and April dance around the kitchen to some of your favorite Christmas music. Chocolate crinkles were ready for rolling in icing sugar and most of the sugar cookies were ready to be decorated. There was a plate of fresh cookies in the middle of the table for snacking as you went. You hadn't made all the cookies up, as you wanted the boys to have the experience from start to finish.
"You guys can come back in now!" You call
"What do we have here?" Leo asks, walking into the kitchen
"Quite the assembly line you have here" Donnie says
"Cookies!" Mikey yells, beelining for the plate closest to him.
"Not yet Mikey" You say, blocking his path "There are a few things that I need to say before you start."
Mikey sighs and gives one last longing look at the cookies before backing away from the table.
"There are a few things that need to be done" You say "The chocolate crinkles need to be rolled in icing sugar and cooked. There are sugar cookies that still need to be rolled out and cut. And there are some that are ready to be decorated."
"Where do we start?" Leo asks
"I thought we could start with the cookies that still need baking" You say "That way we can decorate while they cook and cool.
"What about...." Mikey starts
"Yes, Mikey" You smile while picking up the plate of cookies "You are allowed to eat the cookies that are in the middle of the table. No touching any of the others, they are for later"
You hold out the plate and the boys grab one of each.
"MMMMMMMM" Mikey moans, pretty much melting into a puddle.
"These are really good Y/N" Leo says
"Yeah" Donnie says
"Are you sure that you want Mikey to touch them?" Raph says
"There is nothing that can happen to ruin these cookies" You say "Now be nice"
"You would do this every year?" Mikey asks, looking rather starstruck. Or maybe just excited about having an excuse to have more sugar in the lair.
"We would do much more then this" You grin "Don't you worry Mikey, there will be much more baking to do"
"More?!?" Raph groans
"Oh don't be such a grinch" You laugh and drag him over to his cookie station
