-------A couple years later.----------

You never thought you'd ever say it, but you loved going to school. Being in police training was almost as good as ninja training. Almost. Your parents were CIA and this was the closest thing you would be able to get to that. Mind you, hand to hand combat was a bit boring and you had to hold back, but you and your classmates had a lot of fun throwing each other around on the mats. You still lived in the sewers, you couldn't seem to bring yourself to leave, it was home and nothing was ever going to be able to change that. April let you use her address for your forms and you stayed there when you had early classes or needed to have people over for group projects.

"Hey Y/N" April says, knocking on your open room door

"What's up?" You ask, looking up from your laptop

"Got your mail" April says, handing you a small pile

"Anything interesting?" You ask

"Nothing I can see" April says "I gotta get going though. I have a class in twenty"

"Have fun" You call after her

You pick up the pile and start to shuffle through. Nothing major was there, few flyers, school news and what appeared to be junk mail. You rip it open just in case. You unfold the letter and start reading. You almost fall onto the floor in shock. This was definitely not junk mail.

You look down in disbelief at the letter, there was no way that this was real. Right? A few weeks ago your police trainer had given you a site to look at. It was the CIA application page. You didn't hesitate in applying. It had taken a long time to get all the information sent, but you pushed through it. You really hoped to follow in your parents footsteps but you didn't really think you'd get accepted. Now with the acceptance letter in your hands, the reality of it came crashing in. You'd have to leave your family and friends for a long time, maybe forever.

Sitting there in shock, you try and figure out what to do. Do you stay, or do you go? What do you tell your family and friends? Do you maybe finish school and try again? Or go now with what you know? What kind of story would make sense to explain all of your training and experience? The more you thought about it, the more excited you got about going, but also the more you wanted to cry at the thought of leaving everyone. Especially one. Things may not be where you would like them to be, but how could you leave him like this? But then again, maybe it would be a good thing if you did go. Distance might help you finally get over this whole crush thing.

"Be real Y/N" You tell yourself "You don't want to get over this."

You knew that voice was right. You could've gotten over Leo a long time ago, but you chose not to. Who would want to when there was still a chance?

"There would be a better chance if you actually said something" Your mind reminds you

You knew that to be true too, but there just never seemed to be enough time to do so. Something always came up, even in the right moments there would be something that needed pushing past and you could never find the words to express what is in your head and heart.

After pondering your predicament for a while longer, you sigh and get up. At this point there is only one thing left that you can do. Head to the dojo to talk to Splinter.
