I am so sorry for the super slow updates!! I post this story on two sites and I'm on the other one more. I'll do my best to catch up!

“Then you’re not fine Mikey.” Raph says rolling his eyes.

“No really!” Mikey says pointing to the wall. “I was looking around but then I heard faint voices from the wall.”

“What did the voices say Mikey?” Donnie asks skeptically

“I couldn’t tell through the wall, But they sounded kinda tinny.” Mikey says.

You walk over to the wall as MIkey tries to convince his brothers that he isn’t nuts. You press your ear to the wall. “Guys, I can hear voices to.”  You say as the muffled sound reaches your ears.

The others look at you as if you’ve lost it. 

“No, really.”  You say “You just can’t hear it over all your yelling.”

“I told you!!!” MIkey yells.

“Shhhh!!!” Leo says clapping a hand over Mikey’s mouth. “If there really are people down there that we can hear them, they might be able to hear us!”

“You got that Mikey?” Raph says looking his brother in the eye.

“Mmm” Mikey tries to say.

Leo removes his hand from Mikey’s mouth. 

“What do we do now?” You whisper.

“I think we need to look at those lists again and figure out who and what is going on here.” Leo says. “We also need to always be in pairs. No one is allowed to go off on their own.”

“Ok.” Donnie says. “I guess Y/N and I will go back and look through those binders.”

“No.” Leo says. “Raph and I will go. Y/N, Donnie and Mikey will stay here to erase evidence.”

“Why not Donnie and I?” You ask. “We’re the ones that found it.”

“Raph and I will be able to get the cabinet out quicker ” Leo says “We’ll be able to get the binders back here faster. And you and Donnie have a better eye for detail, so you’ll do better at making sure all our tracks are covered”

“Ok” You nod

“Only take one or two from the bottom of the pile” Donnie says “That way there will be less chance of anyone noticing if we don’t get them back anytime soon” 

Leo gives Donnie a nod and he and Raph head back to the study. 

“What do Leo mean by cleaning up the evidence?” You ask “It’s not like we can sweep the footprints away.” 

“No we can’t” Donnie says “ But we can obscure them so they won’t be able to follow us if they do notice.”

“Doesn't that mean that we need to go through all the rooms we’ve been through?” Mikey asks.

“Yes.” Donnie says “ So we better get started. We might not have much time if someone did hear Mikey.”  

You immediately start to obscure any evidence of you and your friends. You hear a sound from further down the hall. You poke your head out the door, thinking it was Leo and Raph coming back with some of the binders. Instead you see a couple of flashlight beams slowly coming up the stairs. You slowly back away from the doorway. 

“Y/N?” Mikey says “You ok? You're lookin kinda pale.” 

“There are people coming up the stairs” You say trying not to panic. “We gotta tell Leo and Raph.” 

You pull out your phone and dial Leo

“Hello?” A voice says

“Leo" You say in a whisper. “Keep your voice down. I saw some people coming up the stairs!”

“OK.” Leo whispers. “We’ll put everything back, and we’ll hide until we hear an all clear.”

You turn to Donnie when Leo hangs up 

“Leo and Raph will hide until you give the all clear.” You whisper.

“OK.” Donnie whispers.

You freeze as the sounds of quiet voices reach your ears.

“Hide now!!” Donnie whispers urgently. 

The three of you melt into the shadows. Soft footsteps slowly enter the room. You fight to keep your breathing under control. A beam of light canvases the room, barely missing revealing your hiding spot.
