"Does it hurt when I press it here?" Donnie asks applying a small amount of pressure.
"A little." You wince "I think that I should be able to walk on it."
"Yeah, you should be ok to walk on it." Donnie says pulling the first aid kit out of his bag "I'll just wrap some gauze around it and you should be good to go."
You hit Leo's number, he picks up immediately. "What's wrong Y/N?"
"I'm ok." You say "Donnie found some really good info but it's in several books so it's gonna take all of us to look through them. You and Mikey better come up."
"What room are you in?" Leo asks
"First door on the left." You say "We'll explain everything when you get here."
"OK. You're all wrapped up." Donnie says putting the first aid kit away.
"That was so a Mikey joke." You laugh.
"I know." Donnie smiles helping you up "I couldn't resist. How does your ankle feel?"
"It still hurts but I'll be fine." You say taking a few cautious steps forward.
Donnie helps you stand up and offers his arm to help get you to the next room.
"Raph said there were some books you wanted moved?" Leo walks in and notices your ankle "What happened to you?"
"I may have broken another floorboard" You say slightly embarrassed
"Do you need any help walking?" Leo asks, taking Donnie spot beside you, books forgotten
"I think I should be good" You say, taking a step forward trying to not wince. The pain wasn't as bad, but it was going to take a couple minutes to get used to. "See? All good"
Leo wasn't going to have it though. He could see the slight hesitation in your steps and wasn't about to let you walk on our own. He takes your arm and wraps it around his shoulder.
"Don't you have books to bring back?" You ask
"Donnie can get those" Leo says "We don't need you making this any worse"
"I'm fine Leo" You say, pulling away "I just have to stretch it out a bit."
Leo sighs, but doesn't force it. If you needed help you would ask, or he hoped at least. It was both annoying and comforting how close Leo stuck to you. You knew that he was just worried and didn't want you to injure yourself any further, but he didn't have to hover around you. You smiled at how caring Leo was being towards you.
"I can't believe that I fell through the floor again" You giggle
"Better not make a habit out of this" Leo chuckles
"And what if I do?" You challenge
"I'll have to start carrying you around" Leo smirks
"You wouldn't!" You say in mock horror
"Try me" Leo locks eyes with you
"Rather not thanks" You continue walking, hoping that he couldn't see the slight redness in your face.
"You know I would" Leo says
"Ya, I know" You smile "But I also know that you wouldn't be able to to handle carrying me around that long"
"What are you trying to say here?" Leo asks
"That you really need to start hitting the weights like Raph does" You tease
"Then I guess I'm going to have to prove myself to you" Leo smirks, scooping you up
"Hey!" You protest as loudly as you dare (which wasn't that loud) "Put me down!"
"You said I couldn't do something" Leo says "You were asking me to prove it to you"
"You know you're sounding like Raph right?" You point out
"I've been running around a abandoned building on no sleep for the past five hours" Leo says "I think I'm entitled to not sound like me here and there"
"Fine" You say "Could you please put me down now?"
"I guess" Leo gently puts you down "As long as you don't go breaking any more boards"
"Trust me, I won't" You say
