Night that you leave
"Are you sure you have to go?" Leo asks as you gather the last of your things
You'd be flying out in the early hours of the morning and the rest of the turtles had taken what little you had back to April's apartment to give you and Leo a few more precious moments alone. Leo's brothers had been so happy for you both, but they could all see how much this was tearing the both of you apart even as it built you both up.
"I don't have much of a choice now" You say
"I wish you didn't have to go" Leo says, pulling you close
"I don't either" You say, hugging him tightly "But I have to. I feel like this is what I need to do"
"I know" Leo says "I know what that feels like and as much as I hate this, I wouldn't be able to keep you here knowing you wouldn't be happy knowing that you didn't do what you needed to do."
"Leo" You say, cupping his cheek in your hand "You make it sound like I wouldn't have been happy here with you."
"I know you would have" Leo says, but you can see a hint of doubt in his eyes
"Leo" "You scold him gently "We may not have had much time as a couple, but I can say with all my heart that I love you. That staying with you would have made me happy too. That I fully intend to come back and have a life with you."
"Pardon me if I hold you to that" Leo says
"I expect you to" You smile "Just as I will be expecting you to be here when I get back"
"As if I would be anywhere else" Leo says "I will come and find you if I have to"
"Give me a few years at least" You say "This is going to take time"
"If you're not back in five years, I'm coming to get you" Leo says "CIA or not."
"I will do my best to be back before then" You say "The last thing I want is my boyfriend to end up as a CIA experiment"
"I'm sure you wouldn't let that happen" Leo says "You and I would get away and start our life"
"You really would want that?" You ask
Leo looks deep into your eyes. Something is in them that you can't put words to. You have no clue what that look means, and yet in an instant you do. Leo moving in closer, his hand coming up to cup your cheek in his palm, his little finger lifting your chin ever so slightly. Your eyes flutter closed as his lips press against yours. Fireworks explode in your stomach as your lips meld to his. Leo pulls back all too soon. Everything about you is screaming for more. You can't imagine leaving him now, but you know you have to. Pulling him back in rather suddenly, your lips crash to his once more. Not having much time left makes you suddenly desperate to get in as many kisses as you can. You wrap your arms around Leo's neck as your lips dance together. Leo wraps his around your torso, drawing you as close as he possibly can to himself.
"I love you" Leo murmurs into your lips
"I love you more" You purr back
"Five years" Leo whispers, breaking the kiss "Five years and then I'm coming to bring you home"
"You'd better" You say
"Just remember what I said last night" Leo says
"I will" You promise
"You'd better" Leo says, leaning in to capture your lips again
