CARINA STEPPED INTO THE crowded and busy streets of Daiyu, she glanced down at the device in Obi-Wan's grasp, the tracking beginning to glitch from the moment they entered the planet.
The brunette pursed her lips, "Signals are blocked here, for very obvious reasons." Obi-Wan spared the girl a glance, "What?"
Carina kept a cautious eye on her surroundings as she responded, "People here like their secrets, they keep their trail short." Obi-Wan pursed his lips, "So?"
Carina slipped her hands into her pockets, expression voided of any emotion, "So, we hope luck is on our side. She can't be far."
The duo continued down the eerie alley, looking around to see some people fighting, others selling their items while others minded their own business. Carina pressed her lips firmly together when a voice caught her attention.
"Spare any credits?"
Carina looked over to see a clone trooper, aged up as he held his helmet like a bucket. The brunette felt a knot create in her throat as she gazed at the male. The war had taken a toll on them all. Her feet suddenly moved on their own as she picked up four credits from her pocket. The brunette felt sadness and heavy guilt cloud her mind as she dropped the coins into his helmet.
Another reminder just how much others had also lost because of her blindness.
Obi-Wan had a sullen expression as he too dropped in a few credits, Carina tore her gaze away from him as she continued forward with her friend at her side. Stormtroopers began walking their way as Carina slightly moved to the side, "Out of the way."
The brunette spared a glance at them before setting her eyes on the street ahead of her. She had an awful feeling, one she wished she didn't have. Something would not go right.
Obi-Wan diverted his attention over to the girl, "You alright?"
"Mhm, why wouldn't I be? Who doesn't like walking the streets of their old home?"
Kenobi blinked at her snarky comment, "I know this isn't easy for you, Carina, but—" The Algora girl narrowed her eyes at him, "I am not here to gain a lesson from you, Obi-Wan. We find Leia and get the hell out of here, okay?"
The male merely nodded as she continued walking. A trip back to her home planet was not something she had on her bucket list, the last thing she had wanted was to ever return to the soiled planet.
Carina glanced over to see a pink haired girl approach the duo, "You two want any spice?" she glanced down to shuffle through her bag that was hung on her shoulder, "I got Kessel pure, glitterstim, and Felucian." she glanced up to meet Carina's uninterested gaze, "What do you need?"
