Roman's P.O.V

"I wonder if they have any stuff for entertainment besides books," I say as I flip through a book about vampires.

I'm sitting on a chair in the bookstore at one  of the circular tables. One of the buildings inside the barricade. We've been here an hour after walking around.

"We could ask," Janus says. I look up. He's sitting across from me with Remus, that is next to Virgil. Virgil is to my right while Logan is to my left with Patton next to him.

"Yeah. It couldn't hurt to ask," Patton says.

"I'll do it," Remus says.

He stands up and walks over to the person sorting books. He gets his attention before asking. He nods along to what the person is saying. He gives a final nod in thanks and heads over to the back of the bookstore. He goes into a door and disappears from my sight.

A few minutes pass before he returns with a bunch of stuff in his arms. Even from this distance I can tell it's clearly board games.

"This is everything they had back there," Remus says as he plops the games down on the table.

"I suppose it's better than nothing," I mumble.

"Let's see what we got," Remus says and adds, "Sorry, Monopoly, Uno, Jenga, chess, checkers and some regular cards. What are we gonna play?"

Logan grabs the chess board and stands up

"Virgil? Would you like to play?" he asks.

Virgil looks up from his book at Logan. He spots the chess board and smiles.

"Sure," he says, closing his book.

"Nerds," I say jokingly to mess with them.

"I'm your nerd and Logan is Patton's. So I think we're okay with it," Virgil says and kisses my cheek.

"That's fair," I say with a smile. He stands up and the two of them walk over to a different table.

"Checkers is out because it's boring. Let's play Monopoly," Remus says.

"No way. I'd like to finish a game in this century," Janus tells him.

"How about Uno?" Janus suggests.

"Are you trying to cause a murder?" Remus responds. Janus nods and moves Uno aside as well.

"Jenga is alright I guess but I'm not trying to continuously build the tower," Janus says.

"That leaves cards or Sorry," I tell them.

"Let's play Sorry," Patton says, already moving the other games to the table next to ours. We all agree so I set it up.

"I'll be green," Remus says.

"I'll be yellow," Janus adds. I grab the red pieces.

"You got blue Pat," I tell him as he sits back down.

"One of my favorite colors," Patton says with a smile.

"One of them?" Janus asks.

"Well I couldn't just choose one so I chose many," Patton responds.

"I think that defeats the purpose of having a favorite. It's usually only one," Remus says. Janus grabs the game cards, shuffles them and puts them on the board.

"Usually but not always," I say.

"Exactly," Patton says.

"I can't remember if a certain color is supposed to go first," Remus says.
