Patton's P.O.V
After about an hour and a half I'm starting to get the hang of skating but I'm also getting tired. The thing is I don't want this to end just yet.
"Let's call it a day and go get some ice cream. We can always come back another time," Logan says.
"Sounds like a plan," I say in return. We make our way off the rolling rink and towards the bench where we left our shoes. As we're putting on our shoes I talk to Logan about the kind of ice cream I'll get. We return our skates before leaving the rolling rink.
"Are you looking forward to college?" Logan asks.
"I am. It will be my first year. I'd like to make the most of it. I'm not going to do anything crazy like I've heard some people do but I want to have fun," I respond.
We continue talking about our expectations for college.
Soon enough we walk inside the mall. There are quite a few people around so I wonder if I should grab Logan's hand. He surprises me by grabbing mine. I happily interlace our fingers. It doesn't take us long to find the ice cream store. The two of us wait in line for only a minute. Then we order. I decide to get rainbow sherbert ice cream. Logan gets regular Neapolitan ice cream.
We take a seat across from each other in one of the small booths. There were people ahead of us so we end up waiting for about five minutes for our order. When it's ready I offer to grab it. Logan nods so I stand up and walk over to the order counter. I grab our ice cream cups and walk back to the booth.
We finish eating our ice cream within 10 minutes but sit for a while longer just talking. Logan tells me about various things he recently learned. I tell him about new recipes I want to try. I make sure to slip in a dad joke which Logan rolls his eyes at but I don't miss the small smile I get from him.
His smile is really handsome. He is really handsome. I remember we all went swimming last summer. When he took off his shirt I nearly tripped over my feet. Everyone thinks I'm really innocent but I know things. Like how watching him swimming made me feel. I've seen videos too. I'm a teenager and from what I understand it's completely normal to have those thoughts. And boy do I have them about Logan. It's more than a physical attraction though. I love him for who he is.
"Are you ready to go?" Logan asks me.
"Yep," I say standing up.
We leave the ice cream shop and head back to the car. He unlocks it and we climb inside.
"Would you like to go back to my house?" Logan asks me. I open my mouth to say yes but my phone beeps from my pocket. I pull it out and check my messages. It's Molly. She's asking if I want to hang out. I tell her I'm with Logan. She tells me to bring him too.
"Molly wants to know if we can hang out," I tell Logan. "Sure. Where to?" he asks. I look at my phone.
"Her house," I respond. He nods and starts the car. The drive there we talk some more.
"I had a lot of fun on our date Lo," I say when our conversation ends. I'm looking out the window.
"As did I," he says in return.
"We should do it again," I tell him.
"Skating? Or go on a date?" he asks hesitantly.
"Both," I say with a smile. I look over to see him with a smile as well.
Virgil's P.O.V
"Are you hungry?" Roman asks me from the kitchen. I'm currently curled up on the couch. It's been two days since we confessed our feelings and started dating. Roman left a minute ago to go into the kitchen.
