"Think she's out here again?" Roman asks me.

"Most likely. Hopefully her son is with her," I respond.

I'm making my way to Karden Court with Roman to check on the residents. It's been two months. Four separate groups have arrived and moved in since then. 16 people. We reach Karden and find exactly who we thought we would.

"Morning Ms. Mabel," I say as we approach her. Lena Mabel. She's an older woman in her 50's. She's of average height. Her hair is all gray and her skin is tanned. She has green eyes.

"Morning boys," she responds with a smile.

"I understand you want to get some exercise in but like I've said before you shouldn't go alone. You never know what's out here. Perhaps have your son go with you. I'm sure Josh would want you safe," I say with a fond smile.

"My son wouldn't wake up this early if the house was on fire. I'm careful. I watch my surroundings and if I need to run.. I can run. Besides, I'm only out here half an hour each day," she says.

"Okay. Since I know you'll keep going, how about this. I will come here every morning to walk with you. I can wake up early," I tell her.

"Are you sure hon? I wake up at 5:30. I know you do patrols and I don't want you to be tired. You're one of our protectors," she says. I chuckle at her title for me and the others who do patrol.

"I'll be fine. Don't leave your property until I get there. Please. We don't want you getting hurt," I tell her.

"Alright. I'm finishing up. I'll see you tomorrow then," she says with a smile.

"We'll walk you back home," Roman says.

We walk her home back to 411. Then we make our way to 413 which now belongs to the Derain family. We check in with them.

Once we're finished there we head across the street to 414. It belongs to the Pierce group. We just call them by the last name of who leads them. When we reach it K is outside. Her full name is Katie Bell. She's 19 and kind of tall with faded green hair, fair skin and brown eyes.

"Morning K. We're just checking in," Roman says.

"Do you guys check in with everyone? Everyday?" she asks.

"Yeah. We split the job with Patton and Logan. We just want to make sure everyone's okay. Or see if they need anything," I respond.

"Cool. I'm glad that you guys are dedicated to everyone. We still can't thank you enough for letting us join you," she says.

"Don't worry about it. We can always use the help. Which reminds me, are you still going to Olivia?" I ask her.

"No. I told her the other day that I don't think it's for me. I'll just forget everything she tries to teach me. I'm helping Adam with his construction," she responds.

"Oh nice. Alright well we gotta check on the Daley group so we'll see you later," I say. She smiles with a nod and waves us off.

"I'll let the others know you stopped by," she says as we leave.

"Thanks," Roman says.

We head next door to 412. The Daley group. We go through the gate and walk to the door. Roman knocks on it. The door opens a moment later.

"Hey Martin. Just checking in. Everything good? Do you guys need anything?" Roman says and asks. Martin Daley. A big burly guy with blond hair, hazel eyes and a rosy skin tone.
