Virgil's P.O.VThree weeks pass by quickly. We've recently cleared the next street over. Karden Court and we have been having target practice everyday with those who need it.
"Where will we put the next one?" Patton asks.
"We'll put it up ahead," I say as I continue driving down the street. We're putting up signs that will lead the way to where we are in Calem since my father decided it was time to add to our community.
"How do you think Logan and Roman are doing?" he asks.
"I'm sure they're doing fine. They can protect themselves," I tell him.
"You're right," he says. I pull over again.
"This is the last one right?" I ask him.
"Yep," he says as he climbs out.
He walks over to a car that's broken down on the side of the highway and puts the sign on the side window. I wait for him to put duct tape on to hold it in place. When he's done he climbs back into the Hummer.
"Let's head back," I say and start driving. We make our way back to Cramer Court.
Another week passes. Right now Roman, my friends and I are at 403, the Cumberlin's practicing with our bow's.
"Yes!" I exclaim in happiness when I hit the swinging target again for the third time.
"You're getting it," Andrea tells me.
"Thanks to you," I tell her.
She smiles at me and walks over to Roman to help him fix his posture. Logan and Patton are also practicing and doing pretty well. Logan, who's always had a sharp eye, is also doing really well according to Andrea.
"It's noon boys," Josiah says from the back deck. We set up the archery range at their house since Andrea used to hunt with bows when she was younger.
"Oh crap. Granny's gonna be pissed if we're late again," I say as I walk over to the deck and set my bow down. I take off my quiver and wrist guard. Roman and my friends follow suit. We grab our weapons.
"See you tomorrow Andrea!" I say as we fast walk around the side of the house. She waves us off. We leave through the gate and the four of us book it across the street to 402.
It's where my aunt Sierra and granny Olivia moved to a couple weeks ago. We set their house up as an infirmary. Aiden along with his twins Alex and Carly have moved into 405. Brad joined them as well because he was nasty to everyone else but we didn't think he needed his own place. 400, 401 and 404 are the only empty houses left on Cramer Court now. When we reach 402 we quickly go in through the gate and then head inside.
"You're late boys," Olivia says as we enter the living room.
"Sorry Granny," I say with a sweet smile knowing she loves it when I call her that.
"Mhm. Have a seat," she says but has a small smile. I sit next to Charlie. Alex, Carly, Alisha and JJ are also here. Janus and Remus also.
"So unfair that you're her grandson. She practically took my head off when I was late," he says.
"What can I say? I'm lovable," I tell him. He chuckles.
"Yeah. Okay," he says.
"Pay attention," Olivia says. She begins explaining more first aid basics. A couple hours pass and Olivia decides that we've learned enough for today.
"Ready guys?" I ask as we stand up. Charlie, Alex, Carly, Alisha and JJ all nod.
"We'll be on patrol," Janus says. I nod so he and Remus leave.
