Virgil's P.O.V

"Not possible," I tell him. He chuckles lightly and I pull back to wipe off my face. I take a deep breath to fully calm myself down.

"I must look a mess," I mumble more to myself than him.

"A beautiful mess," he says with a smile. I can't help the small smile that appears on my face.

"Come here," I tell him as I pull him close again by his jeans.

He reaches up to cup my face and leans down to kiss me softly. I revel in it. After a moment I take his hands and move them to my waist without breaking the kiss. I wrap my arms around his shoulders and pull the kiss deeper. He moves his hands lower and behind me. I pull back just a little so that our noses are just almost touching and I laugh. I'm feeling much better knowing we aren't fighting.

"We're supposed to be on watch, you know?" I say happily.

He leans in to kiss me one more time before saying, "We should probably get back to it." I chuckle at his wording.

"Probably?" I ask when we pull apart.

"Yeah. We both know we'd rather be somewhere private with no responsibilities," he tells me with a grin. I roll my eyes playfully.

"True," I reply. He laughs and starts to walk backwards.

"We will finish this later," he says. I bite back a smile and start to walk back to the place I was yesterday. It's a bit far from Roman but we do need to focus on our task. I look out onto the street.

A few hours pass when I spot something in the distance.

"What the hell is that?" I ask myself. After a few minutes it starts to get closer. "Oh shit," I say and turn to run over to Roman. He must've seen the same thing because he meets me halfway.

"Virgil there's-" he starts but I cut him off.

"I know. Go get some help. We'll need more firepower to take down a horde like that," I tell him.

I try to keep my cool because I've already come up with an idea. It's stupid and suicidal but someone has to do it. There's no way we have the firepower to take down that many. Besides, I've got a plan. I'll take the Hummer because it's safer than going on foot. I'm glad I decided to keep the keys on me at all times.

Roman hesitates.

"Go!" I tell him.

He finally gets moving and runs back towards where the others are. I wait just long enough that he won't be able to stop or catch up with me. Then I climb over one of the cars with my gun and bat. I run to the Hummer and unlock it. I quickly climb in, setting my bat in on the passenger side and my gun in my lap. That's when I hesitate. Last time I did this I was on foot and it wasn't my initial plan.

I shake my head. I've got to do this. There's a cross road between the horde and me. If I get there first I can lead the horde in a different direction. Or at least most of them. Hopefully I get them all. I start up the Hummer and start to drive towards it.

It only takes me a minute to reach the cross road. The horde is a few hundred feet in front of me. I look down both ways and choose the one that seems the easiest to get through with the Hummer. When the horde is close enough I lay on the horn and turn down the way I'm going to go.

"My parents are going to kill me for this. Not to mention my friends and boyfriend," I mutter as I drive just slow enough that the majority of the infected can't overrun the Hummer.

However it's just slow enough that the runners are banging on the side of the car. I continue down the long street and start to approach a cross street with no way to keep going straight. I turn left only to run into a smaller sized but just as dangerous horde.
