Roman's P.O.V

"What is it you're looking for?" I ask Virgil.

"You'll see if I find it. It's really not important, just something I'd like to have," Virgil responds.

"Alright," I say. A minute later Alex, Janus and Aaron return. Aaron has a bag.

"Unfortunately we couldn't find anything," Alex tells us.

"It's fine. We can still try the gun store across the street," Aaron says. I open my mouth to ask what's in the bag but Virgil asks something first.

"Dad. If we're able, can we check out Big Boys Sporting Goods?" Virgil asks.

"Sure. What for?" Aaron asks.

"Well our bats aren't going to last forever and there's something I'm looking for. It's nothing really important so if we can't go then that's completely fine," Virgil explains.

"You make a good point. Depending on how many we find we can arm others. Alright. We'll stop by there too. It's across the street with the gun store so we won't be going out of our way," Aaron says with a nod.

"Sweet," Virgil says with a small smile.

"Let's head to Builder's Depot. After that we'll go to the gun store and lastly Big Boys Sporting Goods. Will that work?" Logan asks. Everyone nods.

We drive to the other end of the parking lot and park in front of Builder's Depot.

"Alright. Two of you can come with me. The rest of you can just wait out here," Aaron says once we're all out of our cars.

"I'll go," Virgil says.

"I'll go too," Patton says.

"Let's go then," Aaron tells them. They nod and follow him inside.

"We've got a lot of stuff. I'm glad we were able to get most of what we needed," I say as I look at the cars. The trunk of every car except Adam's truck is full. Even the back seat of the SUV and Hummer are practically full.

"Yes. We're lucky. Seems people avoided this area for some reason. Likely all the infected," Logan says as he gestures to the parking lot.

"You're right. We seem to have caught a few of their attention," Alex says.

She readies her bat as a walker stumbles too close to the cars. She hits it once and it falls to the ground where she hits it again. Janus takes another one. I turn to see two approaching my side. I swing my bat knocking the first one down. Then I do the same for the second one. Once they're both down I hit them both another time.

"We should move these. They're blocking the way," I say to Logan and the others.

"I'll help. You two continue keeping watch," Janus says. Janus and I each grab the legs of one and drag them away enough for the cars to pass through.

"Thanks," I tell him.

"Sure thing," he responds and goes to stand by Alex.

We stay waiting outside for a good half hour before Virgil, Patton and Aaron return. Virgil and Patton are pushing two regular baskets while Aaron is pushing a metal platform with a bunch of wood on it. We help them load it all into Adam's truck.

"Alright. Let's head across the street," Virgil says.

We all climb back into our vehicles. We leave this parking lot, cross the street and go into another one. Our first stop is the gun store. We stop and only Aaron goes in.
