Family Bonding

~Chapter One~

It was a somewhat late afternoon, everyone was up to their own things.  Leorio was leaning on the kitchen counter as he read the papers he received in the mail a bit ago, informing him about his medical school. The other three were in the living room, Kurapika doing a puzzle as Killua and Gon run around the house like the hyper teens they were. It was barely a few weeks into the move in, everything was going pretty well though. 

Leorio had bought the two bedroom home so he could live with his friends once they all finished their missions.  Kurapika was first to get his missions done, and he quit his job as a bodyguard after a while, so he moved in with Leorio and had been living here a few weeks longer than the other two. Killua and Gon still had another month or two as they explored a bunch of places, but they agreed to moving in nonetheless.  Why a two bedroom if there were four of them? Well, it was all Leorio could afford at the moment, and he hadn’t exactly planned much before buying it either.  He figured Killua and Gon could share a room since they were good friends, then he and Kurapika would get a room together. 

Though, the other issue was Leorio could only afford two beds, which meant one for each room.  Leorio had been sleeping on the couch so Kurapika could get the bed in their room, but with the two getting a bit closer, Leorio wanted to possibly share the bed.

Kurapika caught himself staring at Leorio every once and a while, and everytime Kura did so he would mentally slap himself and look back at the puzzle. He was definitely catching feelings, any attempt in denying them would be an obvious lie. Though Kurapika was pretty thankful that Leorio was on the oblivious side, it made hiding his feelings so much easier 

Once again Kurapika was back to staring at the man, admiring his features from afar. Killua had started to notice Kurapika and smirked. Gon watched as the boy walked up behind the couch and whispered into the blonde's ear. “Kurapika has a crushhhh,” Killua started laughing as Kurapika swatted at the boy. “Shh, he’ll hear you!!” He responded while looking down and avoiding eye contact. “So you do?” Killua said as his catty smirk grew larger. Kurapika dropped his face into his hands and let out an embarrassed groan. Killua laughed and went back to running around with Gon. 

Kurapika looked up from his hands, going back to admiring Leorio. Would it be too soon to confess? Possibly.. Maybe I can make a small move??  He thought to himself as blush coated his entire face.  Kurapika took a deep breath and stood up, he wasn’t going to confess, just attempting to get closer was all. He walked up to Leorio who noticed him almost instantly, pushing the papers aside. Kurapika sat on the stool next to Leorio, looking down to hide his face.  Leorio waited for the blonde to speak.

“So I was thinking, maybe you could stop sleeping on the couch? I mean the bed is big enough for two..” He paused.  “Only if you're comfortable in doing so!” Kurapika added. 

Leorio smiled at him, he had actually wanted to start sharing the bed but didn’t mention anything to keep Kurapika comfortable at the house. So Leorio put his hand on Kurapika’s knee in a reassuring manner before replying. 

“That’s fine with me,” the response made Kurapika smile, and the feeling of Leorio’s warm hand against him felt nice. He looked up to see Leorio staring at Kura’s lips, his gaze instantly changing as he noticed Kurapika looking up. 

Killua could sense his gay meter going off and decided to snoop towards the kitchen, Gon tagging along behind the boy. One of Leorio's hands rested on Kurapika's knee, and the other cupped the blonde's face. All Killua could do in the situation was smirk at the two, but of course Gon was completely oblivious of what was going on.  

Leorio couldn't help but look at Kurapika's lips again, how much he wanted to kiss them. He noticed Kurapika's face seemingly turning red.  Leorio placed his thumb on Kurapika's bottom lip, looking into his eyes then back at his lips, hoping Kurapika would get the gesture. And he did. Kurapika nodded, and before he knew it Leorio had pulled the chair closer to him. 

Gon slowly backed away face red from the situation as Killua continued to snoop and watch. Who knew asking to share a bed would cause them to want to kiss you? Killua decided to leave the two alone as a thought filled his mind.  Maybe I could kiss Gon, he's a dumbass and won't think much of it.. Killua went to the couch where Gon had gotten comfortable on and got close to the boy.

Leorio pulled his face closer to Kurapika, their lips nearly touching.  And soon they were kissing, Kurapika couldn't believe it really. He could feel his entire body burning up at the sensation of Leorio's hand moving to Kurapika's thigh. But the kiss ended from the sound of the boys shouting at each other. They got up and looked into the direction of the living room.

"W-what?! Killua, are you sick?.." Gon asked loudly and flustered as the small kiss broke. Knew it. Killua thought as Gon's dumb reply slipped out. 

"Are you fucking stupid?? How the hell does kissing you make me sick, idiot?!" He snapped back. Gon had no idea why Killua kissed him, he just figured it was a prank or something. But that changed as he felt Killua get closer again, eyeing Gon's lips. 

Kurapika and Leorio stood from afar and watched awkwardly, making sure the shouting wasn't for any serious reason.

Killua pulled the idiotic boy in for another kiss, which was what then made Gon realize what was going on.  As Kurapika noticed what was happening, he thought it was kind of cute. What a copycat, Leorio thought in a joking manner.  He see's two people kissing and decides to attempt it himself. 

Kurapika knew it was going a little too far as the two continued kissing even after a few minutes. Gon couldn't help but kiss back after a while. "Uhm boys I think that's enou-'' But before Kurapika was finished speaking Killua flipped the blonde off to silence him. Leorio instantly backed away from the situation and went back into the kitchen, wanting to avoid the angry Kura.
