♡Merry Christmas♡

~Chapter Thirty-Nine~

Kurapika was already awake, ignoring the fact it was 4:03 in the morning. He had started the cooking just a few minutes ago, making sure everything would be ready by the time Mito arrived.

He baked cookies and a cake so they could be kept in the fridge for a longer period of time and set. Meanwhile he thought he would get started on wrapping gifts as the other things set on the stove.

He bought everyone two gifts knowing they'd be getting plenty more from each other. He then filled the stalkings with a bunch of candy canes and chocolate before going back to check on the food.

Once the prepping was done Kurapika kept the stove on low heat and decided to just stay in the living room and watch a random movie. While he did this Kurapika was making a christmas music playlist on his phone that they could play later on.

~Time Skip~

Killua ended up two hours later, which was surprisingly quite an early time for him. He sleepily walked out of the room while rubbing his eyes, completely unaware Kurapika was awake and in the kitchen.

"Morning," Kurapika greeted. Killua jumped at the sudden voice, getting a quiet laugh out of the blonde. "You fucking scared me," he said with a hand on his chest as his heart pounded crazily. Killua managed to calm it down within a few seconds, taking a seat on the stool as Kurapika cooked.

"You're up early, it's barely six." Killua's eyes widened. "Six? Holy fuck. Then when did you wake up? All this food had to take hours," Killua mumbled. Kurapika nodded. "I woke up at about four. I just want to make sure everything's set," He replied. Killua nodded.

The boy rubbed his eyes once again before stretching in an attempt to wake himself up. Yet before he knew it a cup of fresh brewed coffee was placed in front of him. "Thanks," Killua mumbled sleepily as he took the cup in his hands. Kurapika nodded with a chuckle.

"Did you not get much sleep last night?" He asked while going back to cooking. Killua shook his head. "Nah I got plenty. It's just too early, but it was impossible for me to go back to bed!" Killua groaned before taking a few sips of the warm coffee. Kurapika chuckled and ruffled Killua's hair before continuing with the food.

He and Killua talked quietly as Kurapika got everything prepared, going back and forth throughout the kitchen checking up on multiple things he was preparing. "Jeez, that sure is a lot of food," Killua mentioned. Kurapika chuckled as he nodded. "Yep, got to make sure there's plenty for us all. Including seconds of course," he replied.

"Alright well I think that's about it!" Kurapika says as he puts two more things of food into the oven. "What time did Mito say she was heading over?" Kurapika asked Killua. "Oh yeah, well Gon said she would be here around noon, no exact time though." Kurapika nodded at the reply while leaning against the counter and grabbing his phone.

An hour and a half had passed, and the others were still fast asleep. With most of the cooking already done there wasn't really much to do at the moment. "I'm so boredd, can we watch a christmas movie or something?" Killua groaned. "Only if you're willing to rewatch them when everyone wakes up," Kurapika replied with a chuckle. "If it means curing this boredom then I'm down."

~Time Skip~

A few movies later both Alluka and Gon came bursting out of the room full of energy. "Are you watching christmas movies without us?" Alluka exclaimed, causing Killua to start laughing. "We were bored, plus it doesn't really matter. We're gonna rewatch them with you guys anyways," Killua explained. "Alrighty then!"

Leorio was the last to wake up, exiting his room and joining everybody else in the living room. To pass the time until Mito arrived, Gon decided to pull out some old board games from the closet.

About sixteen minutes into Candy Land, Gon was winning for the fifth time. And as he was about to win again the doorbell rang, making Gon instantly get up and rush to answer the door. As he was gone Killua flicked Gon's gingerbread character off the board with a snicker, earning a glare from Alluka. "What? He's not here," Killua said with a shrug.

The moment Gon opened the door Mito pulled the boy into a tight hug. "Merry Christmas Gon!" She exclaimed before finally letting him go. "Merry Christmas!!" Gon replied with a smile. "And merry christmas to you guys as well!" Mito said to the others as she set a few gifts under the tree. "Merry christmas," everyone replied at once.

Mito then joined the others on the couch getting greeted by the others. As everyone started settling down Kurapika put on a christmas movie while the younger three went back to board games, not candy land. Gon had already claimed his victory one too many times.

After a few more longer minutes of board games and movies, Kurapika connectedhis spotify to the tv and played his christmas playlist. "Alright everyone, gather the gifts you bought and hand them to the person they're for!" Kurapika exclaimed while putting on a Santa hat.

They all got up from where they were sitting and got all the gifts situated, getting ready to hand everyone the wrapped items. Killua and Gon handed Mito a gift, Gon giving her three. Mito smiled and handed everyone one gift. (blah blah blah gift exchange i'm lazy and tired)

Everyone completely loved all the gifts they received that day, and once they had opened all the gifts Kurapika came out with hot chocolate and cookies they could binge on for the next two movies until it was time for dinner.

The younger three started playing board games once again, and Killua had managed to beat Gon at least twice. He showed off a lot when he won against the boy, mainly because of the win streaks Gon had earlier. Alluka and Gon laughed as Killua teased Gon about being a loser, but in the next round Alluka ended up winning and teasing them both. The three laughed and goofed off before getting called to the kitchen, everyone getting up to eat dinner.

It was definitely one of the best ways to spend Christmas together, and they couldn't wish for anything more.
