After School Hangout

~~Chapter Forty-Nine~~

The previous chaotic night had led to quite a tiresome morning. Killua groaned as his alarm went off. But just as he was about to turn it off and go back to sleep, that's when he sat up rushingly in realization. Crap, school. He thought while turning off the alarm.

"Gon, wake up," Killua said softly as he placed an arm on Gon's shoulder. The boy groaned as he rubbed his eyes, sitting up a bit and facing Killua. "Mnnh, is something wrong?" He asked sleepily. Killua shook his head. "No. But we gotta get up! I kinda forgot we had school-.." Killua mumbled as he crawled out of the fort. Gon nodded, following after him.

They went into their room, closing the door before walking to their dressers and looking for clothes. Once they had gotten outfits put together, the two changed quickly trying not to be late.

The couple soon finished getting dressed, and they gathered their bags and supplies before putting their shoes on. "Alright. Let's go," Killua said as he happily held Gon's hand, the two walking out the front door and heading to school.

Killua and Gon soon arrived on campus, heading to their usual spot with Carlos and Kayden. "Hey guys!" Killua greeted them to gain their attention as they sat down. "Hey," they say in sync. "How was your break?" Carlos asked, leaning back a bit. Killua shrugged. "It was good," he replied. Gon nodded with a smile. "What about you guys?" Gon asked happily. "Our break was good. I finally convinced my mom into letting Carlos spend the night," Kayden said with a soft laugh. The other three laughed a little as well.

"So I'm guessing you guys had fun~?" Killua said teasingly with his usual catty smirk. Carlos rolled his eyes. "Nah, we're not like you two horny bastards!" He said with a laugh. Killua rolled his eyes as he smiled. The four continued their odd conversations all through-out morning break. Shortly after as usual, the bell rings and dismisses them all to their first period. Killua gives Gon a soft kiss before they split up, Carlos and Kayden heading over to history class with Gon.

They all took seats next to each other towards the back, settling down and looking up at the front the moment the teacher had called for everyone's attention. The bell had gone off once again, and class began.

The teacher had begun explaining a lesson, reviewing the topics from before spring break to refresh everyone's memories and such. Once she had finished with that, she assigned everyone to work individually with their chromebooks on an assignment based on the current topic.

Since Carlos, Kayden, and Gon were all in the back of the class, it was pretty easy to whisper to each other every now and then. They would pass a few notes or lean a bit closer to help with certain parts of the assignment if one of them didn't understand, and luckily the teacher hadn't noticed. Or, she had noticed but just didn't give a crap.

Near the end of history, the teacher told everyone to save their work before logging out of the chromebooks. "Alright everyone, you have about two days to finish this. It's due Wednesday, and if it's not turned in by then I will be giving out library slips and you'll be spending time there continuing with work." She paused the front screen before clicking and typing on her computer. "We will be doing a project on Thursday to show your understanding of these main topics," she said, gesturing to the poster on the left.
