Family hangout

~Chapter Forty-Four~

It was the next evening, both Kurapika and Leorio had the day off.  And since the other boys were finally home, they decided they should all go do something together. And so, there they all are, in the car. Kurapika thought it’d be fun to go to the movies then the mall. 

Both Killua and Gon had stayed up late the other night, so it wasn’t surprising to see the two passed out in the back. With that, Leorio and Kurapika were quietly talking about when they should have another date.

Due to them already using their days off for this week, the couple planned it for the next week. They chose to both request Sunday off. They discussed other things like where and what they should do, yada yada and such. Once the discussion was over, a comfortable silence filled the car. 

~Time Skip~

They finally arrived at the Town Centre. Leorio finds a parking space not too far from the theater, then puts the car in park.  

"Wakey wakey, love birds!" Leorio shouted. Killua immediately woke up with a slight jump. "Can't you find a non-loud way to wake us up, old man?" Killua said with a groan. He gently shook Gon to wake him up as well. Leorio chuckled while unbuckling. The others do the same right after, and they all exit the car. 

The four head into the movie theater. Leorio buys four tickets for a random horror movie currently available, and they then order some popcorn and enter one of the rooms.
(I completely forgot how movie theaters work y'all-)

Killua snickers as he pulls out the smuggled snacks from his large ass hoodie pockets. "Killua, when did you-" "This morning, now shush and eat," Killua said interrupting Gon. Gon chuckled quietly.

The movie starts, and the whole room gets quiet. And even though the movie hasn’t even started yet, Gon's already getting skittish.

Killua couldn’t help but chuckle quietly, making Gon give a glare before laughing a bit as well. 

The two settle down as the commercials end and the movie starts playing, instantly getting glued to the screen. The room that was once filled with quiet whispers became silent almost immediately, only the movie and snack bags rustling being heard now. 

~Mini Skip~

It was halfway through the movie, Gon was clinging tight on Killua’s arm as the “spooky” music kicked in. Killua couldn’t help but snicker at his boyfriend. Kurapika was doing the same to Leorio’s arm. What a bottom move. Killua thought with a smirk, returning his focus to the movie. 

There were only about three, maybe four kids in the room. One of them had the straightest face as the suspense happened, two others were hiding half their face with their hands, and the last one looked like they were about to scream. 

And even as the main character’s best friend was getting completely torn up, that one kid still had the straightest face ever. Just like one of the kids, Killua had a completely straight face. Meanwhile, Kurapika was just like that group of two kids, but he was hiding his face in Leorio's shoulder instead of his own hands. And Gon, he looked scared, but his eyes were still completely glued to the screen. He had never once looked away from the movie. 

~After the Movie~

People start leaving their seats, exiting the building as the movie ends. “Wow, that was a lot of blood-” Leorio mumbled. The others laugh with a nod. “Pfft, that ending was total crap! All horror movies are super stereotypical, jesus these people needa come up with better stronger plots,” Killua said. Kurapika nodded. “I definitely agree. With a stronger plot for horror movies, along with different outcomes that aren’t at all like every other movie that exists, not only would the producer make a lot of money, but they’d also get more positive reviews.” 

Killua was about to burst out laughing from how formal Kurapika sounded. The four made their way out of the theater, and were now walking around the Town Centre heading towards the mall. 

They enter the large building and instantly Killua is heading straight for hot topic, causing the others to laugh with the least bit surprise. They all follow him, soon entering the store. 

Kurapika heads straight to the plushies, and Gon follows soon after. Leorio chuckles as he walks towards the shirts. Killua on the other hand had entered the shop a full two minutes before the other two, and already had his hands full of crap he wanted. 

A few minutes of the other three digging through different items had passed, and sooner everyone had gotten a few things. 

After paying they exit the shop, walking around the mall. "Thank god I get paid tomorrow," Leorio chuckled. Kurapika glances at him while swinging the bag. "You don't always have to be the one to pay, you know," he replied. The other two nod. "Yeah. Plus Gon and I have jobs now too so it'd be cheaper to pay separately," Killua added. Leorio shrugs. "Yeah, yeah. I don't know. Guess I'm just used to paying." The others give a slight nod. 

~Mini Skip~

After visiting about three different shops and stopping at Panda Express, the four decide to head back home. They had spent about two hours at the Town Centre, it was now 6:25pm. It didn't take too long to get back to the house, surprisingly traffic wasn't an issue today. 

They all exit the car, settling down on the couch after putting everything away and removing their coats and shoes. Killua puts on M3gan, which they had all seen at least fifty times already. Somehow none of them were annoyed by the movie though, so they kept it playing as small chatter went on. 

Kurapika and Leorio are talking about the new house yet again, already having a plan set up and everything. Now they just needed to make some more money, and then they would be set!

~Time Skip~ 

After the movie, it’s about 8:44 pm. Leorio enters the kitchen, starting dinner as the other three talk on the couch. They were mainly going over school and such, and college ended up slipping into the conversation. “Man, I have absolutely no clue what I should study,” Killua says while crossing his arms. Gon nods in agreement. Kurapika pauses to think. “Hm. Well Gon could study art, and erm.. Killua you could study… I would say business, but I assume that would be a no?” Kurapika asked. Killua nodded. “My family would want that. So I’m definitely avoiding business,” Killua explained. The other two nodded, continuing the discussion until dinner was finished. 

Once everyone finished dinner, Kurapika chose to wash the dishes as the other three got ready for bed. Gon decided to take a shower once he and Killua finished brushing their teeth. Once he finished, the two passed out on one of the beds, Killua's arms and legs wrapped around Gon.

I tried to write more, but honestly I couldn't think of what could be added. Sorry for lacking a bit, I'll try to get as many chapters out before april.
