Motherly Talk

~Chapter Two~

Killua and Gon were in the hall bathroom, cleaning up the huge scar Kurapika’s shoe left on Killua’s face. He definitely went overboard on Killua..

“You should have listened to Kurapika, he can be a little.. Overprotective,”  Gon mumbled while wiping the scar with a damp cloth.  Killua groaned. 

“Ugh, I know, he’s such a mom!”  He stated while crossing his arms, sarcasm in his tone.  Gon giggled at the comment, giving the dramatic voice an eyeroll.

After a few moments of silence Gon finished cleaning the mark, and Killua jumped off the bathroom counter.  Since the two weren’t out in the open Killua decided to move closer to Gon. He grabbed the boy lightly by the waist and placed his head on Gon’s shoulder, making it easier to hear his whisper.  “Kurapika isn’t nearby,”

And with that, he pulled Gon into a kiss.  But it was different from the first, this time it was soft and sweet.  As the kiss broke, Gon smiled with a glow in his eyes. 

“What’s with the look, huh?!” Killua exclaimed. 

“You're such a softie,” Gon replied with a laugh. 

“Am not!! You're such a weirdo..”

Killua crossed his arms as he looked away from the boy to hide his flustered face, causing Gon to laugh a little.  The boy's smile and glowing eyes only caused Killua to get even more red.  The silence that started was instantly interrupted by Leorio knocking. 

"Everything alright in there?” He asked.  Gon opened the bathroom door.

“Yeah! I was just helping Killua,”  Gon replied.  Leorio nodded as the two exited the bathroom, Killua being cautious of Kurapika for a while and deciding to go to the room. 

~Time Skip~

Leorio was out getting food for lunch as Kurapika and Gon watched TV in the living room, as Killua was all alone in the room.  He was too lost in his thoughts. Thoughts of Gon.  He wasn’t completely sure why, but this feeling was quite new to him.  And he’s had it ever since he and Gon met. 

“Where's Killua?” asked Kurapika, since the two boys were almost always together it was a little unusual to see Gon alone. 

“He’s in the room, been in there since this morning. He never really said why though,” Gon replied with his eyes still glued to the TV.   Kurapika nodded and got up, deciding to check up and see if Killua was okay.

He knocked gently on the door before speaking.  “May I come in?” Kurapika asked, hearing a faint ‘yeah’ respond to him.  He entered the room and closed the door behind him, then sat next to the boy who was lying on the floor. 

“Is something wrong?” Kurapika asked the boy.

Killua sighed as he sat up. “Well, I don’t even know!” Killua said as he threw his face into his hands groaning.  Kurapika glanced at him. 

“Elaborate a bit?” He said with slight confusion in his tone.  Killua plopped backwards and onto Kurapika’s lap.  He let out another sigh as he looked up to the ceiling. 

“About a few weeks after I met Gon, I felt something that I’d never felt before.  Being around him always makes me happy, even if I don’t show it.  At first, I thought it was just the feeling of my first friend. But later on..”  

Killua stops himself, and Kurapika gives the boy a small hand squeeze.  Killua was a bit confused. Was that supposed to be reassuring or do you want to kill me?  He thought to himself for a moment before sighing yet again. 

“It’s very obvious you like Gon, no doubt about it,” Kurapika said. 

“Well yeah no shit, I knew that sherlock. I’m just not too sure in which way I like him.” 

Kurapika laughs.  “Then what was that kiss about? No way was that just the feeling of friendship.”  Killua stared at Kurapika with a blank expression. 

“You tried to kill me.”

Kurapika laughed once again.  “Moving that aside, what was that kiss about?” He repeated.  Killua threw his arms over his face to hide from Kurapika’s stare. 

“I dunno, I just saw you and Leorio and thought of Gon. I guess I thought it would be.. Ugh I just don’t know!”

Killua sat up as he heard the front door open, and Leorio exclaiming “I’m back~!”.  So the pair stood up getting ready to exit the room, but before Kurapika could walk off Killua pulled him into a random hug, making the blonde give a bright smile.  After a few moments Killua lets go, and the two leave the room and joined the others at the table.
