Those Brown Eyes

~~Chapter Fifty-Five~~

Killua wasn't all too sure why, but he had actually woken up quite early. Not even Gon was awake. Killua had hardly even gone to bed around 2:00, and here he was up at 4:25 and unable to go back to sleep. 

And so, he sighed softly before getting out of bed, exiting the bedroom and walking toward the kitchen. 

Kurapika was also awake, leaning against one of the counters while drinking coffee. As he noticed Killua enter the kitchen, he turned around and smiled softly. "Looks like stress is getting to someone," Kurapika mumbled with a soft laugh.

Killua shrugged. "I'm not stressed, there isn't anything to be stressed about," Killua mumbled in reply while getting himself a mug for some coffee. Kurapika nodded in understanding, taking a sip from his cup as the kitchen grew silent. 

"...Okay, mom. Maybe I'm a little stressed." Killua sighed, keeping his gaze down at the counter. Kurapika nodded, waiting for Killua to continue. "I dunno.. I just want this date to go well," Killua said with a shrug. Kurapika chuckled softly, nodding once more in understanding. 

Killua took a long sip of coffee before setting the cup down. "So, what's for breakfast?" Killua asked while leaning against the counter. Kurapika rolled his eyes playfully. "Oh, I see. Apparently all I am is the cook," Kurapika said while playfully elbowing Killua. Killua laughed softly. "I'd say you're my therapist and the cook," he said jokingly. Kurapika laughed as he began digging through the cupboards.

A few more hours had passed, Leorio had left for work a bit ago, and Gon had just woken up and joined the other two in the kitchen. 

As he sat on a stool next to Killua, he rested his head against his boyfriend's shoulder. "I was a bit surprised to see Killua awake before me," Gon said with a soft laugh. "Ah, yeah- Couldn't sleep," Killua mumbled in reply. Gon lifted his head up and looked at Killua. "How tired are you?? I don't want you to be exhausted on the date!" Gon said worriedly, meeting Killua's eyes. 

Killua chuckled softly, placing a hand on top of Gon's. "I'm fine, and surprisingly not tired at all," he responded. Gon nodded, smiling softly at Killua. Kurapika watched the lovebirds in front of him as he made scrambled eggs and bacon for everyone. 

A few minutes had passed, and the three were sitting at the table and talking every now and then as they ate. It was still a bit early in the morning, which meant there was still quite a bit of time until Killua and Gon's date. 

Once the three finished with breakfast they all entered the living room and huddled up on the couch. Kurapika began looking up stuff on his computer while the other two were playing video games and battling each other. 

Gon rested his head against Killua's shoulder as the two continued playing random video games to pass the time. Every once and a while Gon would kiss Killua randomly just to throw him off guard, laughing softly as he attacked Killua (in the game) during these moments.

Kurapika chuckled softly as he glanced at the two every now and then, sneaking a few photos and videos of the couple goofing off. 

Gon throws his arms up in victory, laughing a bit as he taunts Killua, getting his fifth win in a row. "You cheated!-'' Killua mumbled, jokingly rolling his eyes. Gon chuckled softly, kissing Killua on the cheek to catch him off guard again. "Sure I did," he said mockingly while laughing. 

Killua blushed before playfully pushing Gon's face away from his, laughing a bit as well. "We should get ready for our date," Killua said while getting up from the couch. Gon nodded, getting up after Killua and happily following him into their room.
