Resuming Every Day

~Chapter Forty-Three~

Gon and Killua were on their way to work as they just finished school. They had been attending shifts for about two weeks now, basically used to the whole process.

They entered the small store, getting greeted by Juju and Jacob before heading to their own registers. It was pretty weird to have a dog at a grocery store, but they stopped questioning that a while ago.

The two put on their name tags with the store logo printed out into them, heading over to the empty lanes and turning on the register light, letting people know their lanes were open.

The service here was pretty average after school. Although a crap ton of students entered to grab snacks and stuff before heading home, it would calm down a bit afterwards. Killua dreaded almost every bit of it though, and he tried to talk as least as he could. Of course he would ask if the customer wanted a bag, and state the total, yada yada all that stuff. But otherwise, he kept his mouth shut tight.

Kurapika sits up with a groan, looking around as he forgot his surroundings. Oh, guess I fell asleep in the living room- He thought while fixing his hair. Kurapika gets up and walks into the kitchen, deciding to make himself some lunch. He had the day off, but there was absolutely nothing to do. He already took Nao on a walk, cleaned the entire house, browsed the internet for hours, watched movies, practically everything there was to do.

As Kurapika started digging through the kitchen cabinet for a snack, he tried thinking of things to do to cure this boredom. The boys should be outta school by now, but they're probably at work. He thought while grabbing some chips.

Kurapika noticed that they were once again, almost out of food. So the blonde decided to go shopping in hopes it would make him less bored. But first, to prevent another overload, he made a list to keep track of what was needed and such. Once that was done, Kurapika headed out for the car and drove off to the store.

~Pov Switch~

Killua and Gon were goofing off a bit since the store was empty and Bisky was out of sight. The two were just pushing each other around in a cart through the store, both very aware of the risks if they got caught.

After a few more minutes of just zooming around the empty building, Killua stops in his tracks. "Oh crap- I think the hag is coming back," Killua muttered. Gon jumped out of the cart immediately, the two rushing back to their registers.

"Oi! Were you two just screwing around on the job?!" Bisky exclaimed as she entered from the back. Killua and Gon stood up straight. "N- No ma'am!" The two stammered in unison, pretending to be doing something. Bisky scoffed, glaring at the two. "Alright then. You two can wrap up in an hour, today seems to be slow anyway," she said while returning to the back of the store. The two nod, standing at their separate registers.

Leorio sighed, leaning back in his chair. It was his second week here at his new job at the office. It wasn't an official business yet, just someone trying to get started with their plans and such. So Leorio decided to help out and join in on the job, which had better pay than the old place he worked at.

However, with the place barely settling, there wasn't much to do. A few stacks of paperwork now and then, and printer duty, but otherwise it was just like sitting at home.
