Blossoming Flowers

~Chapter Forty-Seven~

It was a bright and early morning, Killua had woken up earlier than his usual time to make Gon and him some breakfast. There were still a few days left of break, and Leorio and Kurapika had already returned back to their long shifts of work, so the younger two were once again left alone in the house.

Killua had figured he would set up the date today and have Gon smothered with affection. And breakfast was the first part. Killua was making heart shaped pancakes, loaded with sprinkles and topped with whipped cream. For the last part, Killua wrote "I love you" in chocolate syrup to top it all off. Once that was finished, Killua takes the two plates of food and heads into their room. The moment he had opened the bedroom door, Gon had sat up and awakened.

Killua paused from the unexpected movement. "Food??" Gon exclaimed as he turned to the door. Killua started laughing. "Jesus, you startled me! I guess your nose is still pretty strong," he mumbled with a smile while walking over to Gon's bed. He handed Gon the plate that held the fancier and decorated pancakes, sitting next to the boy. Gon happily took the food, a huge smile covering his face. Gon then reached for the remote, turning on their tv. He puts on their favorite cartoon, and the two begin digging into their food as they watch the show.

~~Mini Time Skip~~

The two were getting their coats and shoes on, getting ready to head out to their date. Killua decided to keep it simple and sweet, setting the location at the field they went last time. Since it was April, all the flowers should be out by now. Which made everything even more perfect. 

They held hands as they walked the way to the fields, smiles covering both their faces as cherry blossom trees filled the land ahead of them. The fastest way to the fields was through the park, which was an absolutely gorgeous view with all the fresh flowers and trees. This year was flying by way too fast, though it seemed only very few people had really noticed or paid any mind to it. 

In a short matter of time, the couple arrives at their usual date destination, their hands still intertwined with one another. They decided not to bring anything but a blanket to lay down on, along with one bag holding a few cookies and sandwiches. 

They soon arrived at the fields, and both of them had large smiles. Killua set down the blanket and food, soon sitting down himself. Gon joined Killua on the blanket, then laid his head in Killua's lap. He dug his fingers softly in Gon's hair, running his hands thoroughly as the two sat in comfortable silence looking in the clouds. 

This would be the perfect place. Killua thought. Last night, he was doing a bit of research after Gon had fallen asleep. Apparently you can get married at eighteen. (don't quote me on this) Gon surprisingly turned eighteen before Killua, so he just decided that a few days, maybe weeks after he turned eighteen himself, he'd bring Gon back here. 

Killua's birthday was three months away, which gave him plenty of time to prepare. The thought put a smile on Killua's face. Proposing to Gon. He honestly couldn't wait. His thoughts get a bit interrupted as Gon suddenly sits up. Killua started laughing as Gon reached for the cookies. "Hey, eat some real food first!" He exclaimed with a chuckle. Gon only laughs in reply, taking a bite of the cookie. Killua smiles as he rolls his eyes. Killua then grabs himself a cookie, leaning against Gon as they eat. 

"What should we do after this?" Killua asked. Gon paused, making his cute face he always made when thinking. "After this we should go back to the house for a bit. We can take a nap and then take Nao out!" Gon exclaimed with a smile. Killua chuckled, nodding. "Alright. Let's eat first though. And not just cookies, Gon," Killua called out with a soft laugh. Gon laughed as well, this time reaching into the bag for a sandwich. Killua then grabs his own, and the two dig in as they gaze at the sky.
