A Beautiful Day

~Chapter Forty-Two~

Kurapika had been up since four in the morning due to nerves, he had panic called Melody so many times to the point where she had to go and pick him up to help him calm down. Though she didn't blame him, today was the biggest day of his life. The setup didn't start until 7:00 am, and the ceremony started at 12:00pm.

Once again, Melody had taken Kurapika to a cafe. It seemed to help in the same way as last time, making Melody glad. The cafe always had soft Lofi music playing, and the dining area was soft and cozy.

As they settled down waiting for their order to arrive, the two talked about the wedding some more. It did make Kurapika extremely nervous, but with it being seven hours away it'd be best getting him more calmed to the topic.

"Oh, that reminds me, where was Leorio during all the calls?" Melody asked. Kurapika paused as he tried to remember. "For the first one Leorio was asleep, the second one was while he was in the shower, and the last seventeen were after he left for the setup.." Kurapika replied with an embarrassed laugh. Melody nodded. "Well, have you told him about the attacks?" Kurapika instantly shook his head at the question. "No.. But that's only because I don't want him to think I don't want a wedding! I just want this to run smoothly.." The blonde muttered as he fidgeted a sugar packet.

Melody placed a hand on Kurapika's. "Hey, it's okay. I'm sure it'll all be fine. But you should probably tell him about them sooner, just in case another big event leads to major breakdowns," Melody explained. Kurapika nodded. He had been dealing with panic attacks for a long period of his life, which Melody had recently found out last year in one of their missions. They seemed to have left him alone after a while, but with the wedding and Kurapika being a complete nervous wreck, they just won't let him be.

The two had finally received their food, and Kurapika seemed to be a little calmer about the wedding. "Alright, let's get your dress and head to the boutique!" Melody exclaimed after checking her phone for the time. They had been in the cafe for a little over an hour, it was currently 7:26 am. Kurapika was supposed to be at the setup, but with Leorio being a try-hard he really wanted the whole look to be a surprise.

They stopped at the house so Kurapika could quickly grab the dress, running to the car once he had it. Next stop, boutique. It was an hour drive, but they would be back in town at around 9:30, so it didn't matter all too much.

~Pov Switch~

Everyone was up and about with their different jobs. Killua bossed the workers around (respectfully) as he made sure everything was set up perfectly, Gon in charge of decor and placement, while Leorio checked in with everyone and made sure everything went smoothly.

As everyone did their assigned jobs, the venue was getting together pretty well. Guests should get here in about... Three 'n a half hours! Leorio thought as he checked his watch. "Hey, old man, some more trucks arrived," Killua said while pointing over to the two trucks before resuming his job. "Alright kid, thanks!" Leorio exclaimed before walking over to the vehicles.

The workers unloaded the last of the chairs and tables, setting them down where Gon (and mainly Killua) told them to. Leorio chuckled before going back to work.

Melody and Kurapika arrived at the boutique, instantly being greeted by a cheerful woman. "Hello! My name is Jen and I'll be your stylist. You must be Kurapika Kurta, correct?"Jen asked with a smile. The blonde nodded. "Great, follow me!" She exclaimed while leading the two in.
