Christmas Shopping

~Chapter Thirty-Seven~

It was the next day, Tuesday afternoon. The boys were already out of school, waiting for Leorio and Kurapika to get off of work. Both of them requested a shorter shift for the day so the group could go Christmas shopping.

As they waited, they decided to watch horror movies and eat junk. Killua sat in Gon's lap as they sat on the couch, Nao sitting next to the pair. They were on their fourth horror movie, about to start their fifth one.

"We've already seen every single one of these!" Killua groaned as he scrolled through the recommendation row. Gon chuckled as he placed his head on Killua's shoulder, getting a better view of the tv.

Killua skipped through more of the horror rows, until finally settling on a movie. "By the time this year is over we're definitely gonna finish every horror movie on here," Gon said with a chuckle. Killua nodded chuckling as well.

~Time Skip~

Leorio was the first to arrive home, meaning Kurapika had a few minutes of his shift left over. The moment Leorio pulled up in the driveway Killua got off of Gon and sat up, fixing his hair as if nothing had happened. Gon pulled his shirt down and sat up as well, laughing at how quickly Killua got up.

Leorio entered the house and set his things aside, removing his coat right after. "Kurapika should be home soon, so I advise you two go get dressed before he arrives. It'll make everything a lot faster," Leorio said with a laugh. The two boys nodded and got off the couch, Gon running into the room as Killua walked behind. Leorio entered his own room, changing out of his work clothes.

A few minutes later the three were in the living room all dressed, and as they heard a car pull into the driveway everyone was rushing to get their shoes on. They all knew when Kurapika said they'd be taking off a few minutes after he was home, he really meant the moment the blonde was done changing, meaning he wanted everyone else to be ready the moment he walked in that door.

"Hurry up old man, he's gonna barge through the door any second!" Killua shouted. Leorio quickly ran into the hall restroom fixing his hair, then ran back out. "Alright, alright, I'm done!" He shouted back.

And just a second after that Kurapika opened the front door, setting his stuff to the side. "Why do you guys look so tense?" Kurapika asked with confusion. Killua gave a glare at the blonde. "We were rushing to get ready cause we knew you wanted us all changed the second you came home!" Killua's reply made Kurapika start laughing a bit.

"Okay well, I said we'd take off a few minutes after I arrived! Where on earth did you get that idea from?" Kurapika asked, still laughing a little. Killua groaned, giving up on replying as he dramatically fell to the couch. "Well go get dressed!" He finally said. Kurapika nodded and went into the room, only taking three minutes before walking back out.

The four headed out the door and into one of the cars, driving out of town yet again, to go to walmart.

~Mini Skip~

After one gas stop and multiple complaints from Killua, the four finally arrived at the store. They entered the warm and festive building, grabbing a shopping cart before heading towards all the Christmas items.

Gon's eye got caught on a piece of mistletoe as they entered the long aisles of decoration, and seeing as Killua wasn't paying any attention Gon walked away and grabbed the item quickly before Killua noticed. He walked up to the boy and held it above their heads, grinning as Killua finally looked towards Gon.
