~ Chapter Twenty-two ~

The younger boys had already left the house for school, leaving the house silent. Kurapika had woken up to the sound of Leorio's snoring, it always got louder when he was close to waking up.

Kura chuckled as he pulled the covers off himself, walking into the kitchen to make Leorio and him some food. He figured the two hadn't had any them time even with the boys already in a month of school.

Kurapika turned on the stove, grabbing the bacon and eggs from the fridge. He hummed to himself as he cooked the food, getting the plates ready as the bacon sizzled in the pan.

Leorio woke up and headed into the kitchen to see Kurapika setting the table. "Food looks amazing, Pika," Leorio said with a smile. Kura smiled back as the two sat down for breakfast.

They discussed the younger boys' grades as they ate, both glad the two were doing well in school. Once they had finished breakfast, Leorio put both plates in the sink as Kurapika turned on the tv.

"What should we watch?" Kura asked as he flipped through shows. "A random horror movie I guess," Leorio replied as he snuggled next to Kurapika.

They found a movie, cuddling for warmth in the cold house.

Every so often, Leorio would talk about stupid everyone in the movie was, and would even insult someone's personality and actions.

This made Kurapika laugh. He snuggled closer to Leorio, soaking in the warmth.

They watched multiple different movie genres before Kura stood up stretching himself. "Let's go to the park! I don't wanna watch tv like a bum all day," Kurapika exclaimed with a smile. Leorio nodded before standing up himself.

Eventually the two finished getting dressed and all that, then headed out the front door. The weather was still warm, it was barely the beginning of fall.

The couple held hands as they walked their way to the park, smiling as birds lush through the blue sky.

The smell of pine drifted through the air as they walked at a soft pace. Kurapika took in everything around him, enjoying the outdoors.

The silence was nice and comforting. Leorio glanced at the boy, Kurapikas smile was so bright.

It wasn't long before they reached the park, the leaves slowly crisping on the branches. Fall was Kurapikas favorite time of year.

The autumn breeze, candy apples, pumpkin season, all of it. Especially the pumpkin spice lattes they sold at his favorite cafe.

The couple sat down on a bench that lay under a tree. Kurapika rested his head against Leorio's shoulder as the two watched animals run around and leaves fall to the ground.

"I'm getting bored," Kurapika mumbled as he lifted his head. Leorio smiled, "We can go to Walmart and buy something!" Leorio replied as the two got up stretching. Kura nodded with a smile.

They walked back to the house, settling into the car and buckling up. Kurapika turned on the radio, switching through it until he found a song that was alright.

The two arrived at Walmart, the cool air of the building greeting them as they walked in. Kura happily skipped through the store as he held Leorio's hand, Leorio struggling a bit to keep up.
