Before I start, I need to say something. By the time I'm uploading this chapter this book only has 102 reads and only 9 votes. Does that mean that nobody's liking the book so far? Or is it because I just started this book and there's only 5 chapters written so far. I really don't know what to think at this point other than to say that it's really disheartening and discouraging to see so few people reading this book and an even smaller number of people who actually votes. I'll still continue writing everyday as much as I can and I'll continue giving my 100%. All I can request from you is to please vote if you're actually reading the book and leave a comment. Thank you.

"How's she, doctor?" Jiwoo asked the doctor who was checking his wife.

"Mr.Jeon, your wife needs to eat something, if she wants to get well. I understand your family is going through a tough time right now, but you need to take care of her and make her eat something. I've prescribed some medicines for Hyejin-shi, please give it to her." The doctor replied, making Jiwoo nod his head tiredly.

"I'll go get it." Jiwon said, taking the prescriptions from the doctor's hands and leaving the room.

"I'll take my leave then. Remember don't stress her out too much." The doctor said, before collecting his things and leaving the room.

Jiwoo looked at his wife who looked so peaceful while sleeping, and he wanted to cry. He had been bottling up every single emotion ever since his son's accident, trying to be strong for his family, but with every passing day his hopes of finding Jungkook alive was also passing. And now seeing his wife's condition, he was at his breaking point. There was still no news about Jungkook and he doesn't know how to console Hyejin anymore.

He still remembers the panic they felt when they realized that Jungkook was not in the resort, the numerous calls they'd made in an attempt to reach him, and the hours they'd spent trying to search for him in the midst of the heavy storm. He remembers that dreaded call in the early morning informing him about his son's accident and the worst of all is the memory of the charred remains of the car his son was in that would forever be etched in his mind.

Hyejin had fainted as soon as she heard the news and that was 5 days ago. And when she'd woken up she had started screaming and panicking asking to bring Jungkook back while the rest of the family members tried their best to console the grieving mother, but to no avail. She had refused to eat anything until Jungkook came back and even though Jin and Eunjae had managed to make her eat a little, it wasn't much which resulted in her fainting once again.

The day of the wedding was particularly hard on everyone. What was supposed to be a joyous occasion was covered in a veil of darkness. Jungkook was the light of their family and he took that light with him when he left, plunging all of their lives into a bottomless pit of darkness. All the guests who had come to attend the wedding had already returned home, but they couldn't leave. Now the only thing that scared him to death was they might've to return home empty handed not knowing whether their son was alive or not.
