"Hello I'm Kim Taehyung. What's your name?" Jungkook kept looking down, not even lifting up his head to meet his potential employer's eyes. What was he supposed to say, 'I don't know who I am, or where I'm from, but will you please give me this job?' it sounded insane to his own ears. So he kept quiet and let Mrs. Song explain on his behalf.

Taehyung took his outstretched hand back after not receiving any response from the boy and looked at Mrs.Song questioningly.

"Son, why don't you look around the garden while I talk to Taehyung?" Mrs. Song said and Jungkook immediately bowed and left the two alone to talk. Taehyung looked at Mrs. Song skeptically. The boy was really weird according to him and his doubts about hiring him increased even more.

"Is there something wrong with him? Wasn't he acting a bit weird?" he asked as soon as Jungkook was out of sight.

"Well there's something I didn't tell you about him. I didn't want to explain it over the phone, that's why I didn't say anything when I called you yesterday. You see the thing is..." Mrs. Song went on to explain everything from the beginning and Taehyung was absolutely dumbfounded.

"Have you lost your mind Mrs. Song? You're saying you don't know who he is or where he came from and you want me to hire him as my daughter's caretaker. For all I know he could be a serial killer or some other criminal. I mean you said it yourself, you found him outside your doorstep injured and bleeding. How can you be sure that he actually has amnesia and is not just pretending? You should be handing him over to the police, not letting him stay with you." he said, not believing the story at all.

"Taehyung, I'm 70 years old. I've lived through and seen the worst and the best of humanity and I pride myself on seeing through a person's pretense. It's something that comes with age, so trust me when I say that I'm 100% certain that the boy is not lying about his memory. He really doesn't remember anything. You weren't there, but I was. And I'd seen how he had panicked and almost stopped breathing when he realized he couldn't remember a thing. He wanted to leave because he believed he was being a burden on me, but I stopped him.

He's really young with no memory, no money and no identification. He won't survive out there. He needs help and you could give that help to him. You need a caretaker and he needs a place to stay and besides you're a doctor, you could see what's wrong with him and help him."

"Yes, a doctor of heart not head and please don't think that I don't trust you, but don't you think you should've taken him to the police station. The cops would be able to help him and maybe find his family." he said, still not convinced about hiring someone with no identification.

"You're right, maybe the police might be able to find his family. I've never stepped foot inside a police station, so maybe you can help with that, but he still needs a job and a place to stay while he waits for any news from the police and you still need a caretaker for your daughter. It's a win-win situation if you ask me." Mrs. Song said, trying to convince him.

"Why can't he stay with you, since you don't have any problem?" he asked.

"Because like I said he doesn't want to be a burden on me, even though I told him he's not a burden and can stay with me for as long as he wants. He wants to work and support himself instead of staying at my place and staring at the walls all day long. Why don't you atleast talk to him, before you make any decisions?" she asked, making him sigh.

"Alright, I'll talk to him and if I think he's ok then he can start his job from today but only on a trial basis. And the moment he makes even the slightest mistake, he'll be out of here. I can't take any chances when it comes to my daughter. So if he's fine with that then he can start working." he said with finality.
