Just One Day [Taekook]

39) Guilt

Taehyung opened his eyes when he heard a groan coming from next to him. He looked towards his left and immediately sat up, all sleep gone from his eyes when he saw Jungkook waking up. He saw the time and it was barely 6 in the morning. Taehyung saw that Jungkook was struggling to open his eyes and was mumbling something under his breath. And he could clearly tell from his expression that Jungkook was in pain.

"Baby, can you open your eyes for me?" Taehyung asked, while caressing his head. Jungkook groaned, but opened his eyes. Taehyung checked his eyes and was relieved to see that his pupils weren't dilated anymore. He immediately filled a glass with water and made Jungkook drink the whole thing.

"Are you in pain, bun? What are you feeling right now?" Taehyung asked, wiping away the sweat from Jungkook's forehead.

"M..my head hurts." Jungkook croaked out with great difficulty. His throat felt like sandpaper even after drinking water and his head hurt like hell. Taehyung made him lie comfortably, before getting up and dialling the front desk. He ordered some soup for the both of them and went back to join Jungkook on the bed.

"I'll give you medicine for your pain, but you need to eat something before that. Food will be here in five minutes, so don't go back to sleep now." Taehyung said, massaging Jungkook's head, making him hum in response. He was lucky the kitchen was open, getting ready for breakfast. Taehyung kept massaging his head, while Jungkook snuggled closer to him. He wanted to ask Jungkook about yesterday, if he remembered something or not, but looking at Jungkook, who was snuggling into him, it didn't look like he remembers.

Taehyung was brought out of his thoughts when he heard knocking on the door. He untangled himself from Jungkook and went to open the door to find the bellboy with the food he ordered. He accepted the food, thanking the boy and went back inside. Taehyung made Jungkook to sit up on the bed with great difficulty and then went to get the soup for him. Jungkook was leaning against the headboard, while Taehyung fed him the soup. He didn't want to eat anything, but his head was hurting really bad and he knew Taehyung won't give him the medicine until he ate something.

"Enough." Jungkook said, stopping Taehyung's hand from feeding him again. Taehyung wanted to oppose, since he barely had few spoonfuls, but looking at Jungkook who was scrunching his face in pain, he reluctantly agreed. Taehyung gave him a painkiller and decided to wait until his pain reduced to get him to eat something more.

"Sleep for sometime, baby. You'll feel better. I'll wake you up for breakfast." Taehyung said, tucking Jungkook back under the duvet. Jungkook didn't protest. He was feeling drowsy anyway. Taehyung watched as Jungkook fell back asleep, while his sleep was long gone. Instead he made sure that both his babies were sound asleep, before walking out of his room in search of a 24/7 pharmacy. He needed to get some medicines for Jungkook and he could also do with some fresh air.

Taehyung managed to find a pharmacy not that far away from the resort and brought the medicines, before slowly making his way back. He wasn't in a hurry, since he knew Jungkook won't get up anytime soon and as for Eunie, then that girl could probably sleep for her whole life if no one wakes her up. And it also gave him time to think about how he was going to tell Jungkook about what happened. Initially he had thought to not tell him anything, but he threw that idea from his head as soon as it came. He didn't want to be dishonest with Jungkook. He had already overstepped a huge boundary without his permission, he wasn't going to cover that up by another mistake.

He was ready to accept any and all punishment from Jungkook and hoped that he would forgive him. Taehyung didn't know for how long he was roaming around, but by the time he came back to the resort it was already 9. He ordered breakfast for all of them from the restaurant in the resort and asked them to be delivered after thirty minutes and left for his room. He went inside only to see both his babies still sleeping. He decided to let Jungkook sleep some more and went to wake up his daughter.
