34) Back to Seoul

"Are you done, baby? We should leave now, if we don't want to get stuck in traffic." Taehyung asked, following Jungkook around the house, who was busy overseeing last minute details.

"Almost Hyung. I'm just rechecking that we haven't forgotten anything." Jungkook answered, still continuing his work.

"Baby, we are going to Seoul, not to some jungle. The hotel where we will be staying will already provide us with the necessities. And even if they didn't, we are going for just two days. I think we can manage. So, stop worrying and let's leave." Taehyung said, dragging Jungkook with him.

They were on their way to Seoul to attend the Annual Fundraising Event for the hospital and Taehyung had to attend as he was the HOD for the Cardiology dept. He had planned to go alone in the beginning, but he didn't want to leave his daughter and Jungkook alone for two days, not because he thought it was unsafe, but because he just couldn't stay without them even for a day. So now here they were all bundled up into Taehyung's new car since the cops never recovered Taehyung's car, so he ended up having to buy a new one.

Taehyung had a bittersweet feeling about returning back to Seoul, a place that held a lot of memories for him, both good and bad. Three years back he lost everything in Seoul and returned to his home town as a living dead and now three years later, he's going back to the same place he vowed never to return. He hates the city and the memories it holds with everything in him and he just couldn't wait for this entire thing to get over and come back to Daegu where he belongs. The only thing that is making this trip slightly bearable is the fact that he isn't alone in this. His Bunny is also with him, helping him reign in his emotions.

Speaking of his Bunny, it's been two months since they started dating and four months since his Bunny came into his life. But to Taehyung, it feels like Jungkook has been there with him longer than that. He's so happy ever since they started dating that sometimes it feels like a dream to him and he has to remind himself that Jungkook is real and it isn't a dream, but a reality. He's also extremely touchy and clingy with Jungkook, which he has never been, not even with his wife, considering that they stayed in separate cities for almost a year, when she was pregnant with Eunie.

And here he is dragging him along with him to Seoul, because he couldn't stay away from him for merely two days. And it isn't like Jungkook is less clingy. He was sulking and pouting for an entire day when he found out that Taehyung had to leave for Seoul for two days. It was only when he realized that Taehyung was taking them with him, that he lit up like a thousand volt bulb.

Taehyung never leaves a single chance to shower Jungkook with his love, be it buying him flowers every now and then or flirting with him every chance he gets or praising him for even the littlest things or being clingy and touchy, where his every day starts and ends with him kissing his Bunny till he becomes breathless. But despite all of this they still haven't gone beyond makeouts, because Taehyung doesn't want to take that step until he talks to Eunie about them. Also because he thinks that Jungkook is still not ready.

It's not that he's afraid of his daughter not liking the idea of him dating Jungkook, because he already knows that his daughter is attached to Jungkook at the hip and already sees him as her mother and it is clear from the way she acts around him. Sometimes he thinks that she loves Jungkook more than she loves him and it makes him incredibly happy. And that's why he has decided to talk to Eunie about him and Jungkook after this trip. Then he wouldn't have to wait until she falls asleep to romance his Bunny.

So, in short they both are living a fairy tale life, where it's just the three of them, their perfect little family. No, Taehyung hasn't forgotten about his conversation with Jimin. It's always there in the back of his mind like a scab that keeps itching. But he has vowed to himself that he would never let the uncertainty of an unknown future become a hindrance to his present happiness. He looks at Jungkook, who was singing along to the song that was playing in the FM and his daughter, who was dancing in her seat with a big smile plastered on her face and he couldn't help but smile with them. Yes, this was his family and he would do anything to protect them and keep them to himself.
