Just One Day [Taekook]

16) A Day Out

"Hyung enough now. These are already too much. I can't let you spend so much money on me." Jungkook said, stopping Taehyung from getting more clothes for him. Taehyung had gotten Jungkook to a mall after leaving the hospital and even though Jungkook hesitated at first, he still chose some clothes for him, careful to not buy anything way too pricey.

But unbeknownst to him, Taehyung was also picking up clothes for him. Jungkook looked at the huge pile of clothes open mouthed. There were enough clothes to fill an entire wardrobe.

"Well you need clothes every day so buying just a few pairs won't be enough." Taehyung reasoned.

"Hyung, there is something called a washing machine. You use that when your clothes get dirty so that you can wear it again. This is just too much. I agreed to let you buy me clothes, not a closet." Jungkook said, refusing to budge.

"Alright but atleast take a few more. What you have picked out is nearly not enough." Taehyung said, yielding.

"I'll take a dozen pair, no more." Jungkook said, as a final offer. Taehyung still thought it was too little, but decided to agree with Jungkook incase he changed his mind.

Taehyung paid for the clothes while Jungkook just stood behind him waiting for him to finish paying. Once they were done, Taehyung picked up all the bags before Jungkook could pick them up and started walking while Jungkook followed behind whining. After buying a few more items for his daily requirements, they finally left the mall.

"Let's stop somewhere and buy some dinner to take home. You can't cook and mine won't be edible, so let's just get takeout." Taehyung said, once they were on the road.

"I really don't have any problem in cooking Hyung. My hand doesn't hurt anymore and It really doesn't take much to just whip up some ramen."

"No way Bunny, you're not doing anything until your doctor lets you."

"But you're my doctor."

"Exactly. So no more arguments." Jungkook just pouted and turned his head away.

Taehyung stopped the car in front of a restaurant and got down and went to the other side to open the door for Jungkook. They both walked inside the not so crowded restaurant and made a beeline to the counter to order their takeout. Taehyung pursed the menu while Jungkook kept looking around, admiring the ambience.

"I think I'll order Japchae and Bulgogi for me and Eunie. She loves Japchae. What about you, Bunny? What do you want for dinner?" Taehyung asked, giving the menu to Jungkook.

"I'll also have the same Hyung."

"Are you sure? I can order whatever you want."

"Yes I'm sure, Hyung. I love Japchae."

"Ok then. I'll place the order." Taehyung said, turning around to give his order. He was just about done paying when a voice interrupted him.

"Taehyung, is that you?" he turned around to see who called him and immediately wanted the ground to swallow him when he saw who it was. He put on a fake smile before addressing the intruder, while Jungkook just stood by the side, looking curiously at the new face.

"Oh my, what a pleasant surprise. This is a good coincidence if there ever was any. How have you been Taehyung? I feel like I haven't seen you in forever."

'Not long enough.' Taehyung muttered under his breath which was heard only by Jungkook since he was standing right next to him.

"I'm doing good, Mrs. Choi. How have you been?" Taehyung asked, still putting on a fake smile and praying for their order to be ready fast so they can leave this place.
