17) Grain of Hope

"So you're saying that you found him outside a shop and he doesn't remember anything?" Taehyung wanted to punch the guy in front of him really badly. It was the following weekend and as decided both Taehyung and Jungkook had come to their local police station to ask for help in finding Jungkook's family, but the officer who was taking down notes was making Taehyung want to pull out his hair.

'Where the hell is Yoongi when you need him?' Taehyung cursed in his mind for the hundredth time today.

"I didn't find him, my previous caretaker did. She took him to her home, treated him and now he works for me as my daughter's caretaker in my home." Taehyung said, explaining for the tenth time. He doesn't know whether the officer is dumb or pretending to be dumb.

"Ok so who is Bunny?" The officer asked, making Taehyung almost leap out of his chair to punch the living daylights out of him, but luckily Yoongi decided to show up at the right time to prevent his friend from getting arrested for beating up a cop.

"I'm here I'm here, sorry I had to go to court before coming here." Yoongi said, making the two out of three people in the room relieved.

"Good thing you're here. Maybe you can bail me out after I beat up this dumb shit." Taehyung said, glaring at the officer who gulped looking at the angry young man in front of him.

"Woah woah, care to explain why we are stooping to violence?" Yoongi asked.

"I've been trying to explain to him about Bunny, but this guy here doesn't seem to get shit. You speak cop language right? Can you please explain to him why we are here because I'm at the end of my patience and I don't want to do anything that'll land me in jail or get my medical licence revoked." Taehyung said, exasperated. Jungkook felt bad for him. He knew that the cop was really testing Taehyung's patience with stupid questions and he was getting worried that he might lose his temper if this keep happening, so he was really relieved when he saw Yoongi walk inside.

"Where is Detective Lee? Tell him that Advocate Min Yoongi wants to see him." Yoongi said, turning his professional mode on.

"Detective Lee is out on a case right now. I don't know when he'll be back." The officer replied, getting intimidated by the pale man.

"You have his number right, then give him a damn call and ask him when he'll return?" The officer immediately took out his phone to call his superior. After talking on the phone for a brief minute, he disconnected the call.

"Uhm, he said he'll be back in about an hour." The officer replied, timidly not wanting to witness their wrath.

Yoongi sighed before turning to his friend. "What do you want to do Tae? Do you want to wait for him or do you want to come another time? I'm fine with whatever you decide."

"Are you ok with waiting, Bunny?" he asked, looking at Jungkook who nodded his head in answer.

"I guess we're waiting then." Taehyung said, addressing Yoongi.

"Ok let me just inform Jimin then. I'll be back." Yoongi said, leaving the room to call Jimin.

"You want to get out of here? I think I saw a coffee shop just outside the station. We have an hour to wait anyway." Taehyung suggested.

"Ok." Jungkook replied.

"Let's just wait for Yoongi to come back and then we can leave." No sooner had he said that and Yoongi walked inside the room. Taehyung suggested the same thing to his friend who readily agreed and here they were sitting in a coffee shop, after placing their orders.

"I'm sorry Hyung and Mr. Min. Because of me you have to go through so much trouble." Jungkook said, as soon as they had sat down.

"Bunny, how many times do I have to tell you that it's really not a problem. So can you stop apologizing all the time?" Taehyung said, admonishing the younger.
