Chapter 12 The Scars We Don't See

upon the next day at daybreak, all of Bell's injuries are gone and he is able to heal and he was back at it, though, Hestia still felt discomfort in it as she hated to see Bell hurt, especially after hearing Loki was partially responsible for how Bell got hurt, she still remembered what happened yesterday.

upon Hestia waiting for Bell in the church outside, she was looking at her clothes thinking to herself when something caught the edge of her eye, she had seen a group of people with bell very hurt approaching and then saw Loki, someone she wasn't exactly too happy to see, though, she noticed something... different about Loki, as Loki approaches Hestia, she bowed her head, Hestia confused and then saw guild staff, the one female wearing a suit and Hestia got an idea of what happened.

Hestia:"... Loki, what did you and your Familia do, (menacingly) tell me now"

the guild staff then answered for Loki as Hestia looked at Loki, still bowing her head in an apologetic manner as Hestia then placed a hand on Loki's head and rubbed it gently as if comforting a child about to cry to calm them down.

Hestia:" you did nothing Loki, you're angrier to your Familia for their actions proves you didn't mean this, so I'll forgive you, (looking at the Loki Familia members who came) but all of you, you have a lot to make up for, now leave, I need to tend to Bell's wounds"

guild staff member:" despite less, the Loki Familia shall pay not only for Mr. Cranels medical bills but also pay a fine for compensation for any distress and public disturbance this has caused"

Hestia:" I hope you all don't think money alone will not be enough to make this okay, am I correct"

Finn:" I promise lady Hestia, we'll make sure to never let this happen again"

Hestia:" I hope so"

upon the Loki familia paying everything they owed Hestia and leaving, Hestia carried Bell in as Bell didn't take any medicine, he would have been fine soon as it was near tomorrow, and they rested, still Hestia did not sleep easy as she was uncomfortable about Bell's condition, and while taking into consideration the taxes they would pay and leaving aside money to help pay for Bell, Hestia had only 5000 Valas left for herself, and once she disclosed her savings, she went to bed, though, Bell though about something and decided to set a plan for tomorrow.

on the day after, the Loki Familia was in deep DEEP trouble, due to the equipment, armor, and weapons they would need to replace, the casualties reports they need to fill out, along with compensation funds to the families of said members, and paying back the Familia's that went along with them and helped them, as well as pay them for the casualties and their families for the casualties and also any collateral damage funds for their equipment being lost due to the Loki Familia's lack of action to prevent it, which Loki after the incident in the 17th floor couldn't deny responsibility for even if she wanted to, the Loki Familia were too much in the red, they were close to discovering a new color of dept danger level colors.

Loki:"... okay everyone, you all know how we have only water for breakfast now, right"

Tiona:" WHERE IS THE FOOD"

Riveria:" Unfortunately, due to the latest trip being... monumentally disastrous to lowball it, we've lost so much of our funding, we've got no more Valas to use anymore, and even if we get the reward money for the quest we've completed, we won't even be halfway through with our dept"

every member of the Loki Familia were silent in fear and anxiety (except Ais who was indifferent despite less) and they all got up and then headed to the dungeon, they needed money, so they were going to earn money even if it kills them due to how bad it was, some suggested having Ais be a high-end prostitute for the Familia... again, this has happened before due to such crippling debt before, and since it worked so well last time they suggested it again, though lefiya said it was a disgusting profession and should not be taken as a joke, though, as against it as Lefiya was, she had to admit, as in the red as they were, she might have to change their mind later, then Loki stood up.
