Astrid and Rhysand sat in silence for a few minutes, both allowing themselves time to process the memory. Astrid could feel him looking at her every so often, causing her to fidget with the pillow. Still considering whether she wanted to throw it in the fire or not.

The thought of setting the pillow on fire brought a smile to her face. She couldn't help but remember when her, Wren, and Lucien would sit in the foyer of Tamlins house and set various items on fire with Lucien's fire magic. Most of the time, they would be burning random things Wren had stolen from Tamlin's office or around the house in general. Lucien was always in charge of making sure it wasn't anything important before burning it.

They had all agreed he was best suited for that job, Wren and Astrid would have happily burnt the house down – as long as no one was inside. He also had the most knowledge of what was needed to keep the court running or what Tamlin would need once things went back to normal. Astrid was also biased due to her dislike, a dislike she did absolutely nothing to hide.

"What are you thinking about?" Rhysand asked her.

"Oh, just how much I miss burning things with Wren and Lucien." Astrid sighed, looking deeper into the fire.

"I'm going to need you to explain."

"Oh, well Wren and I would steal things from Tamlin," she pulled the obnoxiously bejeweled dagger from her belt. "Like this, I absolutely love this thing, I tried to use it to get Lucien's mask off one time. But Wren ruined the fun and told me I wasn't allowed to use daggers or knives by someone's face..." Astrid shook her head, "Anyways, we would then burn some of the things we stole, Lucien was in charge of making sure it wasn't anything important."

Rhysand let out a chuckle, "Is the dagger the only thing you stole and kept?"

"Nope! I have at least three other ones, this one is just my favorite."

"There's someone in my court you would get alone with very quickly." Astrid looked over to see a sad smile on his face.

"Who is it?" She asked, cocking her head to the side.

"His name is Cassian, he's the general of my armies. You both have very... chaotic energies. He's like a brother to me, one of two."

"I'm taking it he's not here?" Astrid reached over to squeeze his shoulder.

"No, he's back in the Night Court." Rhysand lowered his voice to a whisper, "There's a city there that we keep hidden, it's where he and the rest of my inner court are right now. Well to my knowledge."

Astrid shot up with widened eyes, "That must be the city Camryn was talking about!" She whisper shouted.

Rhysand raised an eyebrow, "Camryn?"

"Camryn is my night cat, last time we talked they said they were protecting the boundary of some city. Wouldn't tell me what city, they said that was for you to choose to tell me." Astrid grabbed a rock she found on the ground and chucked it in the fire. "They said everything appears to be fine right now, by the way."

Rhysand sighed, a bit of tension seemed to leave his shoulders, "I'm glad to hear it, but lets get back to you having a night cat?"

"Yea, they're bigger than Tamlin in beast form, it was rather funny actually." She stretched her boot closer to the fire.

Rhysand reached forward, pushing her foot away, "Another reason that supports you being my sister." He paused for a moment, "Would you like to see the city? Once I show it to you, you'll be able to come and go as you please."

Astrid smiled, slowly sliding her other foot closer to the fire, "I'd love that."

Rhys pushed her foot back again, "Only if you quit trying to put your feet in the fire, you and I both know it will burn."
