Live's POV

(Continued)

______

"So how did it feel dipping your toes back into your craft?"

I attempted to sway the focus of our emotions.

She stretched her arms upward, easing her mind from the tense moment.

"Hmm, I loved everything I just heard but... I'm still undecided."

Still confused, I queried: "What do you think it is that's drawing you away?"

"I know what it is but...I don't wanna say--" She cut her own self off with an abbreviated sigh.

Damn.

I also know.

And I also don't want to say.

"I'll be right back." She said, getting up.

My conscience reflexed in no time.

Hurrily, I grabbed her hand.

"Nia, forgive me. I'm sorry if I'm stressing you out."

She stopped her movements abruptly.

She deliberately battled herself in her mind. Her lips contorted themselves in a way one would when near to tears.

Now, too vulnerable to even look me in the eyes, she forfeited to the ground and looked there instead.

With a shaky voice, she heartbreakingly reassured me: "Dabin, I swear it's not you. It never is. You've always treated me well... I'm the one stressing myself out. I just can't get myself together."

I stood up too and interlocked all my fingers with hers.

I needed Nia to understand that she didn't have to fight alone.

That's what I'm here for.

And I will always be here for her no matter what.

As if she had forgotten where she was at the moment, I lifted her chin so that she could feel my dead-serious expression.

"Please, look at me."

Her face tilted upward slowly.

"Yes?~"

"It's not you either, Nia. Don't you sit here for a second and tell yourself another lie. Are you aware of how truly empathetic you are? A quality so beautiful that you have, but, it can be dangerous. Don't tell me you're undecided because he's the theme of it all--your discography?

There. I said it.

And that's something I can also be empathetic towards.

Because I did the same, even up till now.

She nodded with a stark expression.

I automatically pulled her into a hug, combating anymore negative energy.

"Give me your pain. I'll bare it for you."

I could feel her unsteady heart against my chest.

"No, Dabin~" She muttered.

Nia, I love you.

Always have.

And you still love him.

Always will.

I may not know why you love him.

However, I admire the way you love him.
