Odin and Frigga pride themselves on having the perfect family consisting of their two young sons Thor and Loki. Once in a while, Odin takes his sons down to his treasure room to talk to them about important things about their future. The last time Odin took them down he talked to them about being king and how to be a wise King. Both of them were meant to be kings but Loki knows Thor will be King no matter how much he wants it. This time Odin took them to the treasure Vault to talk to them about their law regarding future marriage arrangements.
Odin: My sons, one day when you are both older, you will be betrothed to another.
Young Loki: Father, do we get to choose who we are betrothed too?
Young Thor: Who cares Loki. I can't wait to be betrothed. I want it to be just like a father and mothers relationship. What do you think father?
Odin: Your mother and I will find someone for you both. It is the law. One asgardian that will work for you both. Your matches will be perfect and will be for the good of Asgard.
Thor and Loki eventually grew up. As they grew up, Loki always felt that he was always living in Thor's shadow, envious to the fact that Thor was meant to be king instead of him. As a child he didn't care as much because they were both the Princes of Asgard and Gods together; Thor being the God of Thunder and Loki being the God of Mischief. Thor was the rightful King which Loki knew. It still hurts that he never really had a chance because Loki is adopted. Odin and Frigga told him as soon as they thought he was old enough.
Thor was always better at flirting with asgardian girls than Loki was. Everyone was always drawn to Thor rather than Loki. Thor always had flings with ladies but nothing ever serious because of what Odin said when they were younger. They will both be betrothed. But Thor isn't ready to settle down. Loki has just been waiting for that, he is ready. Loki kept to himself growing up mostly learning magic from his mother. He did hang around the Warriors Three, Lady Sif, and Thor as well. Along with causing some mischief throughout the castle.
Loki never met a lady that piqued his interest until he was walking through the castle one night. He looked down the hall and saw this young lady walking towards him. She was young and beautiful. Loki has never seen anyone like her before. Loki walks towards her and she looks right at him continuing to walk towards him. They both lock eyes. As soon as he gets close enough to her, he puts his hand on her cheek, bringing her closer to him.
Loki: Hello.
Y/N: You must be the god of Mischief.
Loki: I am but you can call me Loki. What's your name my lady?
Y/N: My name is Y/N Hightower. My father is one of the Einherjars.
The Einherjars are a group of Asgardian warriors that serve as the army of Asgard and are the warrior-class of its society. They are tasked with protecting Asgard and quelling conflicts within the Nine Realms. Y/N's father is one of the higher up Einherjars. This allows the whole family access to some of the castle.
Loki: It's nice to meet you Y/N.
Y/N: And I you.
