That same day Thor returned from earth with Loki, Heimdall came to him with news about Vanaheim. Vanaheim was invaded by the Marauders, a group of rag-tag pillagers. Thor knew he needed to head over there as soon as possible. Thor liked getting off of Asgard to fight and deal with situations. Over the thirteen years, it was an outlet for him. As King, there is so many expectations and requirement. It was always nice to get a break from those when he leaves Asgard.
Thor went to his father first to make sure he was in charge of Loki's sentencing the next day. As soon as he named his father in charge of sentencing, Thor knew his father would sentence Loki like any other prisoners. He wants his brother alive and he told his father that. But he wants to make sure everything goes smoothly and thats where Y/N comes in. So next, he went to talk to Y/N to let her know he has to leaving again and he needs her at Loki's sentencing.
Thor: Vanaheim was invaded. I need to go there as soon as possible with some of the The Einherjar. I need you to be at the sentencing tomorrow with my father.
Y/N rolls her eyes and turns away from Thor. Y/N is a tad bit annoyed that Thor is leaving again. Mostly for their children's sake. He just came back from Earth and now he's going to Vanaheim. She knows Thor likes to be involved in everything but when will he just let the Einherjar take care of everything regarding situations in different realms? Y/N knows her children want Thor to be around more. Also if he was serious about trying their relationship again, he needs to be around more.
Thor: If it was any other Prisoner I wouldn't ask you to go but Loki's sentencing is important to me. I really need my Queen there since the King cannot be there.
Y/N turned around instantly. Did she hear Thor correctly? Did he just say Loki's sentencing? Her eyes widened as she looked at Thor, waiting for him to explain further. She hasn't heard Loki's name in so long.
Thor: I know what you're thinking, Loki's dead. But he's alive. I went to earth to get him. I need you to be there so he gets put in the dungeon, not sentenced to death.
Y/N: Loki has been alive this whole time? Why didn't you tell me that the situation on earth was regarding Loki?
Thor: Because I didn't think it was necessary. I just wanted to get him back to Asgard. It's not like you really knew him anyway.
Y/N instantly froze. Y/N just stares at Thor. She can't believe he just said that. Y/N knows Thor has no idea about her and Loki, but that comment still hurt her. She knew Loki better than anyone else. Thor can tell Y/N is annoyed with him. This is not how he wanted the conversation to go. He walks toward her. He wants to make everything better. Y/N sees Thor walking towards her and she just can't deal with him right now. She decides to walk out of the room.
Y/N: I'll be at the sentencing. Good luck with Vanaheim.
As she walks down the hallway, Y/N can feel a panic attack coming on. She tries to control her breathing but she can't. Her heart is beating fast. Loki is alive after all these years. She can't believe it. Part of her is relieved and happy that Loki is alive. The other part of her is angry and confused. She just doesn't know how to feel. She loves Loki but he's a loose cannon at this point. It's been thirteen year, Loki has obviously Loki has changed tremendously but so has Y/N. Now that Y/N knows Loki is alive though, she knows in her heart that she can't continue with Thor even for their children's sake. She knows it's wrong but she can't help it. She loves who she loves.
Meanwhile, Loki is being brought to a cell in the dungeon. He will put here until his sentencing the next day. The guards bringing him in tell Loki that Odin and the Queen will be conducting his sentencing tomorrow. He would never show it, but he is really nervous to see Y/N after all this time.
