Once Odin announced that Y/N was betrothed to Thor, Y/N was then summoned to try on one of her new dresses. Odin went to plan a few things for the coronation and the betrothing announcement with Frigga. Thor stormed out of the treasure room. Loki followed Thor. Loki can't have Thor marry Y/N. He needs to convince Thor that this can't happen. Loki follows Thor to the dining room area where Thor flips the entire table over. Thor doesn't know what to feel. He doesn't even know Y/N. After he flips the table, he sits down on the step behind him.
Loki: Brother.
Thor: I can't believe father.
Loki sits next to Thor on the steps.
Thor: Father is just springing things on me.
Loki: You'll be king soon. If you really don't want this. You can change the law. Then you wouldn't have to marry Y/N. You can do what you want. Father would't have any say anymore. You won't have to be betrothed anymore.
Thor just sits there and listens to Loki. Loki was right but there is a reason father chose Y/N for him. Thor doesn't know what to do. Loki thought he was getting through to Thor. Loki just wanted to mend his broken heart. If he could fix what his father did by convincing Thor then he could save his relationship with Y/N. But as Loki is talking to Thor, Thor gets a look on his face like he isn't going to listen to a word he says.
Loki: Oh, no. I know that look. Thor.
Thor gets up from the steps.
Thor: Loki, remember what father said when we were younger; Our betrothed will be for the good of Asgard. I can't change this.
Loki: This is madness.
Y/N walks in as the conversation is happening between Loki and Thor. Y/N has one of her new dresses on. She was sent to get Thor and bring him to Odin and Frigga. Again she had no idea Loki was there. Y/N doesn't know when she'll get a chance to talk to Loki. She has a feeling she's going to be really busy. But she does want to speak with him.
Y/N: Excuse me. Sorry to interrupt. Thor, The All-Father wishes to see us.
Thor: Do you know why he wants to see us?
Y/N: All I know is that he wishes to see us together and he wanted me to retrieve you and go see him and the queen.
Thor: Then let's not keep him waiting my lady.
Loki sighs and put his hand on his head. Thor followed Y/N out of the dining room. Thor did a complete one eighty on the situation. This made Loki extremely mad, upset. Y/N won't even look at him. He needs to talk to her. He knows their relationship was a secret and forbidden but why is Y/N acting like Loki doesn't exist? His heart break is turning into rage, he can feel it.
