After the battle with the Dark Elves, Thor went back to Jane's apartment. Jane and Thor got to talking. They enjoy each others company and talked all evening and night. They also shared a few drinks. Jane told Thor what she beens up to lately with work and her personal life. Thor decided to tell Jane everything about Y/N and how they decided that separating from their marriage was for the best.
Thor feels so comfortable with Jane. Thor has always thought that Jane was beautiful. Her intellect and passion always intrigued him. All these years he only thought of her as a friend because of his marriage with Y/N. Thor remained faithful for his whole marriage. But now that Y/N and him are separated, he can see himself falling for Jane.
With many drinks in their system, confessions were made. Thor told Jane that he's always thought Jane was beautiful. Jane admitted that he found Thor attractive all these years but of course respected his marriage and didn't want to make things weird between them.
All these years, or really for most of his marriage, all he wanted was someone who wanted him or made an effort back. Y/N wasn't for Thor but maybe Jane is. Eventually they both confessed that they might have feelings for each other. Things led to another and they ended up sleeping with each other. It just felt right. Thor was happy for the first time in awhile.
The next day, Thor knows he must return back to Asgard. After talking to Jane all evening and night, Thor didn't want leave but knew he had to. Thor took Jane on a walk. During the walk, he knew it was time to tell Jane that he had to go back home for now.
Thor: Jane, I must return to Asgard.
Jane: Don't go. Stay a little longer. From what you told me, Asgard is in good hands. I'm sure a few more days will be fine.
Thor: As much as I want to stay, I must go back home for now.
Jane: Will you come back to earth again soon?
Thor: Yes.
Jane: Promise me. Promise me you'll be back.
Thor: Of course. I promise. I'll be back as soon as I can. Let me just talk to the Queen. I just need to make sure she can take care of things for a little longer. Then we can spend more time together.
Meanwhile, Loki and Y/N are spending some time together before Y/N goes to a meeting. Y/N took of Loki's chains since no one was near them. Loki and Y/N ventured into the throne room. Loki thought it would be fun to sit on the throne since Thor wasn't there to say anything about it.
Loki: I could get use to this.
Y/N: Comfortable?
Loki: Oh yes.
Y/N: You do look good up there.
Loki: Thank you darling.
A minute later, Thor walks into the throne room where Loki and Y/N are. He's back from Earth. Thor looks up at Loki sitting on his throne. Thor sees that Loki isn't wearing his chains. Loki smiles at his brother. Y/N then turns around to see what Loki is looking at.
Thor: Hello.
Y/N: Thor.
Thor: Y/N.
Y/N: You're back.
Thor: I am.
Loki: Hello Brother.
Thor: Where are Loki's chains? We had an agreement Y/N.
Loki: Thor.
Y/N: I have them. He's with me, I thought it would be okay.
Thor: It's fine. But from now on, If he's around the castle I prefer Loki to where the chains.
Loki: You know, I'm right here. You can talk to me.
Thor: Let's put those chains back on. Okay?
Y/N: Alright. Loki, I'm sorry. Can you come down here?
Loki: Fine.
Loki stands up from the throne and walks down the stairs to Y/N. Y/N then puts Loki's chains back on him. He hates thats he has to where these chains. Him and Y/N were having such a nice time until Thor got back. Loki knows he has to prove to his brother that he means no harm which is annoying. But he now has to figure out how to do that.
Loki: Happy?
Y/N: I need to run to my meeting. Thor, are you coming to the meeting?
Thor: Not today. We'll discuss everything tomorrow. I want to talk to Loki. Come with me Brother.
Y/N: Okay.
Y/N then goes to her meeting and leaves Loki with Thor. Loki and Thor start to walk through the castle together. Thor assumes Y/N has told Loki about the rules, but he wants to make sure Loki hears it from him and understands his reasoning behind them. He wants the dynamic of the castle to be somewhat normal.
Thor: We should talk.
Loki: Doesn't seem like I have a choice so.
As Thor is just about to answer Loki, Thor sees guards walking towards him. It looks like the guards are coming to talk to Thor about something important. Thor and Loki both stop walking.
Guard: Your majesty.
Thor: Did something happen?
Guard: Sorry to interrupt my king but something happen with your son.
Thor: Magni or Modi?
Guard: Modi.
Loki: Is it time for me to finally meet my nephew?
Thor: No.
Loki: Guess we will be postponing our conversation.
Thor: We will talk as soon as I deal with this situation with my son. Stay here. I'm going to see what's going on.
Thor walks towards the guards. Loki stays where he is. He listen to Thor and the guards conversation.
Thor: What happen to Modi?
Guard: It's his eye, my king. Modi's eye was slashed. He was rushed to the Maesters.
Thor: Bring me to where he is this instant please. I need two of you to escort Loki back to his chambers and stand guard outside his door for me.
Guard: Right away your majesty.
