A few days later, Odin gathered all the Asgardians to announce the news of Thor being betrothed to Y/N. Odin and Frigga has been planning this event for a week now. Thor and Y/N have been included in the decision making for everything. This celebration of Thor and Y/N is the start of many celebrations to come. Next is Thor's coronation.
Odin: Thank you all for being here today for a special announcement.
Loki has gone to the announcement but isn't happy about it. He hasn't seen Y/N since they talked in the treasure room. He's been hiding in his room mostly. He's been plotting. In these past few days, he has come up with a plan to get Thor out of the way. The whole time at the announcement, he looks down. He doesn't look into the crowd, at his father, at his mother, and refuses to look at Thor and Y/N when they come out.
Odin: Thor, my son, my heir.
Thor and Y/N walk out together. They smile at the crowd. Y/N knows she needs to play the part even if she doesn't want too. The love for Loki is so strong that it makes her not want to participate in any of these royal meetings and celebrations because it isn't with him. It just feels wrong still. But she is going to be the queen and Y/N needs to start acting like it. This marriage in an honor to her and her family. She needs to put all she has into this and try to bond with Thor.
Odin: Has been betrothed to Y/N Hightower.
Everyone claps for Thor and Y/N. After the announcement of them being betrothed, the reception starts. A feast is prepared for the Asgardians. They all celebrate the news together. Thor and Y/N walk around and accept all of the congratulations from everyone. During the feast, Loki disappears. He knew this would be the perfect time to start executing his plan.
Something changed in Loki. He resented his whole family; His father and mother for betrothing Y/N to Thor. He resented Thor because he was going to marry the love of his life. Thor ignored Loki when they talked. Loki thought he could convince Thor not to go through with this. He will get rid of Thor And make it look like a terrible accident. Things were in motion now. Y/N will be his.
Loki went through the Bifrost to put things in motion for his plan. He didn't intend to run into Heimdall as he came back through the Bifrost. When he left, Heimdall was at the celebration.
Loki: Good Heimdall, I thought you would be at the celebration.
Heimdall: I can ask you the same. The Prince of Asgard should be celebrating his brother and future sister-in-law.
Loki: I totally agree. Let's pretend you didn't see me this evening. Have a nice evening Heimdall.
Loki walks away and goes back to the castle.
