A few days later, Thor goes to talk to his father in the throne room. His father has finally decided to came out of his room. He sent a guard to find Thor and send him to the throne room to talk. Thor wants to let his father know about the decision him and Y/N made. Thor and Y/N spent days figuring everything out and talking about everything. They wanted to tell Odin first about their separation then they are going to tell their children.

Thor: Father.

Odin: My son.

Thor: I'm happy you finally came out of your room.

Odin: I needed to discuss something with you.

Thor: I need to talk to you as well. It's important.

Odin: Has something happened?

Thor: Y/N and I decided that we are going to separate from our marriage. I know you were hoping we would fix everything but this is what's best for us. I wish for your support with this. We are still the King and Queen.

Odin: Of course. Have you told the children?

Thor: Y/N and I are telling them next. We wanted to tell you first.

Odin: Seems like so many things are changing. You seem at peace with the situation.

Thor: I am. I'm getting rid of the betrothing law. I want my children to freely find someone and fall in love naturally. I don't regret anything that has happened between Y/N and myself. She's an amazing queen. You were right, she was best for Asgard. But we wouldn't have even considered being with each other if it wasn't for being betrothed. Everything would have been different.

Odin: I understand. You must do what you need to do. You have my support. Your Mother would have supported you as well, you know. It's been hard without your mother here. Asgard doesn't feel the same.

Thor: Mother may be gone but she's remembered. Is there anything I can do for you father?

Odin: I need some time away from Asgard, my son.

Thor: You want to leave Asgard? Where will you go?

Odin: Just for some time. Everything here reminds me of your mother. I need time to mourn. I plan on going to Midgard.

Thor: You have my support father.

Odin: Thank you for understanding. I'm proud of you Thor. Please tell Y/N and the children for me. I'm planning on going tomorrow. It won't be for long, I promise.

Thor: I will. Thank you. See you soon.

Thor then turns around and walks away from his father. He truly feels terrible for his father. Without Frigga, Odin has lost who he is for right now. This will be the first time ever that Thor won't have his father by his side while being King. He knows his father won't be gone for long but it will be weird not having him around. He's knows this is best for his father though. Thor goes to find Y/N. He must tell her that Odin is leaving for sometime before they sit their children down. Now they must tell their children that they are separating and that their grandfather is leaving for some time.

Thor has been doing a lot of thinking over these last few days. Knowing everything about Y/N and Loki has made him reevaluate a lot. Y/N made sure Thor knew a little bit of Loki's side in all of this. His brother isn't a madman or crazy, Loki is just hurt and feels betrayed. Thor misses his brother, he really does. Thor knows Y/N wants Loki out of his cell. He wants nothing more than for Y/N to be happy but Loki has committed heinous crimes. Does Loki deserve to be out? Thor doesn't know. He needs to visit Loki in the dungeon soon and talk to him. He hopes Y/N is right about him but he needs to see for himself.
