Thor: Father.
Odin: Isn't it beautiful here.
Thor: Father, it's us.
Odin: My sons. I've been waiting for you.
Thor: What's going on Father?
Odin: Come. Both of you. Sit down with me.
Loki and Thor walk with Odin to a log that was behind them and both sit down beside Odin. Odin is weak. He is out of breath. Thor can see that something is definitely wrong with his father. But he wants to try to ignore that. He missed his father so much. It's been to long. Hopefully his father wants to come home to Asgard today.
Loki was nervous to see Odin after all this time. The last time he saw Odin was his sentencing to the dungeon. Loki was expecting Odin to still be angry and disappointed in him. It surprised him to hear Odin call him son. It seems since the last time they saw each other, they both changed for the better.
Odin: Thor. Loki. My only children. Thank you for coming. We don't have much time.
Thor: Are you okay?
Odin: I'm not. I am dying.
Thor: What?
Odin: Your mother, she calls me.
Loki and Thor look at each other. They are both confused and concerned. Did Odin just say he was dying? What is going on here? Loki and Thor were told that Odin wanted to talk with the both them, not say goodbye to them.
Odin: There she is.
Odin lifts up his arm and points towards the ocean. Thor and Loki both look out to where their father is pointing. Ethereal sun-rays stream down upon the ocean as Thor and Loki both look out.
Odin: I love you my sons.
For just a moment; Odin, Loki, and Thor share a quiet moment together. As they are all looking out into the ocean, a warm glow washes over Thor's face. Thor turns to see that. His father is dissipating into stardust. Loki and Thor both get up from the log and watch as their father washes past them.
Odin is dead. Loki and Thor just stand there; separately mourning for Odin in their own way. Thor is mad and sad. Loki is in shock. It all happened so fast. Both of them were not expecting to loose their father today.
After standing there for ten minutes in complete silence, Loki and Thor finally talk about what just happened. To Loki, this doesn't seem real. Maybe it's because he wasn't in a good spot with his father. He didn't have the same relationship with his father that Thor had with Odin. For Thor, he lost the person who helped him his whole life. Thor lost his best friend.
Thor told Loki he needed to go see Jane. He just couldn't head back to Asgard right now. Loki told Thor to go and he'll head back to Asgard to tell Y/N the news. Loki calls for Heimdall while Thor uses his hammer to fly to Jane. As soon as Loki gets back to Agard, he finds Y/N immediately. Y/N just got out of a meeting.
Loki: Y/N!
Y/N: You're back already? How did everything go with Odin, darling?
Loki: Odin is dead.
Y/N just looks at Loki. Odin is dead? Everyone in this family has lost so much already. They have lost Frigga, Loki and Y/N lost Hela, and now they have lost Odin. As Loki announced that Odin was dead to Y/N, Magni and Modi were close by. They heard Loki. Magni and Modi walked closer to Loki and Y/N.
Magni: Grandfather is dead?
Loki: Oh. Magni. Modi. I'm sorry. I didn't mean for you both to find out this way.
Y/N looks down. This is not how she wanted her children to find out. Y/N literally just found out about this. She had no time to sit with it. She knows Loki didn't mean for Magni and Modi to hear. Now that they boys know, she must find Thena right away to tell her before she finds out from someone else in the castle by accident.
