It has been thirteen years since Y/N and Thor married each other. They have both preformed their duties to the nine realms and Asgard. Y/N and Thor have had three children together; two sons and a daughter. Their two sons names are Magni and Modi. Their only daughters name is Thena.
It has been thirteen years and Y/N misses Loki everyday. Sometimes she catches herself daydreaming about how her life would be different if she said yes to Loki talking to his father about changing the law all those years ago. She could have married Loki and had his children. But then she snaps back into reality.
A lot has changed but at the same time nothing has changed at all. Y/N was not young anymore. She has grown a lot over the thirteen years. She loves hers children more than anything. Y/N and Thors relationship never completely formed the way Thor thought it would. They discuss their children, the realm, anything regarding Asgard, and thats it. They sleep in separate rooms and once a week have a meeting to discuss everything over dinner.
Thor has never been able to get through to Y/N, the way Loki did. Over the years, Thor just accepted that him and Y/N will never be like Odin and Frigga. Thor has love for Y/N but not the love he has always wanted. He has felt disconnected from Y/N ever since their children were born. Sometimes he wishes he just listened to Loki and overturned the betrothing law and just married someone he was in love with. But he knows Y/N was the best for Asgard. She's been a great queen and Thor appreciates it. Y/N being Queen has made Thor's life as King easier. He admires her.
As King, Thor sometimes needs to leave Asgard and go to different realms to keep everything in order. When Thor leaves, Y/N deals with everything in Asgard. Thor has made sure that when he has to go to the different realms, Odin is there to help Y/N.
Odin and Frigga have been very involved with Y/N and Thors life over the thirteen years. Thor put his father in charge of a few things to keep him involved with everything. Frigga spends a lot of time with her grandchildren. Frigga has been sick for many years now and she doesn't know how much more time she has. She wants to spend all her time with her family.
Y/N and Thor sit together at their weekly dinner. They discuss everything that needs to be done within the next week regarding Asgard. They talk about their children and what their next steps should be. There is a feast tomorrow and Thor wishes for his oldest son Magni to be there. Magni is now thirteen and Thor wants to start getting him more involved with everything. The dinner is about to wrap up.
Y/N: Is there anything else we need to discuss?
Thor: are you happy?
Y/N: are you?
Thor: I think we've known each other long enough to tell each other the truth.
Y/N: Thor, if you want to say something then say it. I know you are not happy.
Thor: And I know you're not happy.
Y/N: We have both put everything else above our relationship. We have done everything for the nine realms, Asgard, and our children.
Thor: I know. Maybe we can start over? Try to get to know each other again. We've tried before but once our children were born, I feel like we just stopped trying with one another. I have a feeling other people can sense the distance between us. The King and Queen of Asgard should be close.
Y/N doesn't disagree with Thor. They stopped trying at a real relationship once all their children were born. Y/N completed one of her main duties as queen; producing heirs to the throne. Y/N knew she could never really love Thor the way he wants. She knows it's not fair to him but she can try to connect with him.
