On the way to Modi, the guards explained that Modi's eye was slashed by one of the prisoners in the dungeon. The prisoner is now back in his cell but completely slashed Modi's eye. They also let Thor know that the control panel for the dungeon was definitely used by Modi. When Thor got to Modi, there were so many people surrounding him. There was so much blood. Guards and maesters were everywhere, Thena and Magni were standing watching, and Y/N's handmaiden was there. Y/N's handmaiden was with Thena when the incident occurred.
Thor then realized, Y/N wasn't told yet because she wasn't here. Thor sent a guard to go get her. Y/N's meeting was short and was in a dress fitting when the guard came to tell her about Modi. The guard told her everything Thor was told. Y/N ran to where everyone was. When Y/N got there, one of the maester's was sewing Modi's eye.
Modi went to the dungeon alone this afternoon. He was supposed to be at training with Magni but he skipped. The other night, Magni brought him to the dungeon and showed him where the dungeon control panel was and what every button does. Modi found all of this so interesting. He wishes his father showed him all of this as well but he's happy Magni did. Modi went back to learn more about the control panel.
Accidentally, Modi pressed the wrong button and let a prisoner out of his cell. The prisoner jumped out of the cell and started walking towards Modi. Modi tried to reason with the prisoner by saying "I am prince Modi and you need to go back into your cell" but the prisoner ran after him. The prisoner took out a knife he has been holding onto and slashed his eye with it. Modi screamed and the guards ran over to him.
Modi: Ow.
Y/N: It will heal, will it not, maester?
Maester: The flesh will heal. But the eye is lost, Your Grace.
Thor: I don't understand why you were in the dungeon Modi. You were supposed to be at training with your brother. You could have been killed.
Y/N is devastated for her son. She can't believe this happened. She's sad and angry. Magni was supposed to be with Modi. Y/N gets up and stands right next to Magni. She then slaps her son Magni in the face.
Magni: Ow! What was that for?
Y/N: Are you kidding me? That was nothing compared to the abuse your brother suffered, you fool. You were supposed to be together.
Thor: Y/N. There's nothing we can do now. The prisoner who slashed Modi's eye has been put back in his cell for now.
Y/N: Our son has lost an eye.
Thor: I won't let the individual get away with it. The prisoner will be sentenced to death.
Modi: It's my fault.
Y/N: Thor, How did he even know about the controls in the dungeon? Somebody had to show him.
Magni: Mother. I showed Modi the controls in the dungeon.
Thor: Magni, I showed you everything in the dungeon because you are the future King. I needed you to start learning starting from the bottom then make your way up.
Magni: I'm sorry.
Thor: Why didn't you come to me and ask if I thought it was appropriate to show your brother the dungeon?
Magni: I showed him the other night. You were on Midgard.
Thor: You should have at least asked your Mother. Why didn't you?
Magni: Mother was no where to be found. She disappeared for a full day. I thought it would be okay. I didn't think Modi would go down there by himself.
Thor: Great Y/N. I leave for a few days and you just disappear for full day. Are you kidding me? I left you in charge of everything. You don't think I know why you disappeared?
Y/N: You have no right to say that.
Thor: Oh I think I do. You're the queen, you need to act like it.
Y/N: All I have ever done is do right by Asgard. I have gone above and beyond as the Queen and as a mother. You don't get to hold things over my head. Every time you left Asgard, who was left in charge? ME. I took care of everything. I've gotten everything done. How dare you say that to me. You cannot blame me for this.
Thor: I'm not blaming this on you. I'm not saying your not a great queen. It's just you've become distracted lately. Now our son has lost an eye.
Y/N: You have lost your mind. And you haven't been distracted? You're the King. Maybe you should be here more. How about that Thor?
Magni, Thena, and Modi just watch their parents go at each other. They have never seen them fight before. Everyone in the room is absolutely quiet. No one knows what to do. Lots of things were said that can't be taken back.
Thor: That's wonderful Y/N. Just wonderful.
Modi: Mother, Father please stop yelling. It's no ones fault but mine. I know I shouldn't have gone down to the dungeon alone. I was just so fascinated by the control panel and the dungeon itself. It was an accident. It won't ever happen again.
Modi never wanted anyone to fight over this situation. But the yelling between his parents made him realize why they aren't together anymore. He's finally realizing that their separation is for the best. Modi won't question it anymore, even if it still hurts. Modi walks over to Y/N and gives her a hug. He could just tell his mother needed one.
