I sighed and went to walk back to my bed, only making it a single step when the door popped open, taking me by surprise as a frantic looking König stumbled inside.

"König?" I asked, my face scrunching up in confusion.

König stopped in the middle of the room, the door closing behind him on its automatic hinges. He wasn't wearing his usual attire, instead of his uniform he donned a pair of dark jeans and plan black hoodie. He still wore his mask, exact it looked messy and disheveled, like it had been put on in a rush.

His eyes flickered to the bed, noticing my absence before his attention quickly snapped over to me, where i actually was.

"Y/n?" König asked, surprised. "You can walk?"

His frantic behavior seized for a moment, instead looking to me with an intense confusion in his eyes.

"Yeah?" I replied as i again went to walk to bed. Of course i can walk.

I had only taken two steps when Königs hand caught my arm, causing me stop and look up at him.

"König?" I asked, eyes searching his. They had a look of worry deep inside them. "Are you okay?"

"No- Yes- I mean I- i'm just scared you're gonna fall." He said, gently letting his hand go from around my lower bicep.

"I won't." I said, shifting on my feet as one of my own hands going to rest on my side, right under where my ribs were. I still wasn't so used to getting up, let alone standing and talking, i could feel the pain in ribs increasing.

"You should sit down." König looked at my hand on my side, his eyes seeming to grow even more worried than before.

"I'm fine-" I started to walk to my bed once more, König watching me carefully until i sat down. "i just want to know what's wrong."

I settling into my bed slowly, hand still on my side as my other pulled a blanket over my leg. I settled into my pillow, looking up as König raised an arm to his forehead, scratching at where his left eyebrow would be from underneath his mask. He then turned slightly and looked to the clock on the wall, sighing as he read the time.

Yeah, something was wrong.

"König?" I asked, garnering his attention. "What's going on?"

He sighed, stuffing his hand into the front pockets of his jeans.

"I'm leaving, tonight." He spoke. "I just wanted to tell you in person, but i don't have a lot of time." He shrugged.

"Oh." I breathed. Leaving. "Where.. are you going?"

"Nowhere-It's nothing to worry about, okay? Something came up about Al-Qatala, you remember...?" He trailed off.

Of course i remember them.

I gave König a soft nod, answering his question in silence. He was jumpy as he talked, shuffling his feet every so often, like he couldn't stay still.

"Right, um- i'll be back soon. Maybe a few weeks." König spoke again.

"Okay.." I spoke slowly, fully taking in what he was saying.

I looked down at my lap, my hands crossed over each-other. Al-Qatala, the people responsible for my kidnapping, they're back.

"I'm sorry." König shuffled closer to me, pausing at the foot of my bed. His eyes peered down through his mask, giving me a look full of guilt.

"It's okay," I shook my head, turning my gaze away from my lap. "i understand."

I truly did understand. It was his job, he had to go.

König sighed, taking a step back and looking at the clock again.

"I have to go, i'm sorry, again." He stumbled to the door. "You have my number okay?"

He paused as he opened the door, looking at me quickly before disappearing behind it.

Fuck.
