It was late in the day when i eventually woke up, 11:36. I had managed to sleep through a majority of the morning, waking up to the afternoon sun that peaked over the clouds, and cool winter winds that whipped against the windows glass. It was rather peaceful.

Sitting up, i felt the grogginess overtaking me. The slow motion movements i made as my mind slowly adjusted to around me, but as i fully took in my surroundings i noticed a particular figure next to me. I immediately recognized who it was; König. This was the third night he had stayed, watching over me as i slept. He didn't have to, but he chose to. It was sweet.

He was slumped in his chair, his body leant forward as his head was rested on the edge of my bed. The fabric of his mask was touching the skin of my bare ankle, his actual head just inches from me. He was asleep i quickly realized. That was the first time he had fallen asleep while staying with me, he tended to be awake and alert- sometimes moving around or checking out the books i had on my nightstand. It was cute.

I tried to slowly untwine my legs from the sheets, but as soon i moved Königs head shot up, his eyes unblinking as he looked to find me.

"Sorry!" My eyes widened as i quickly pushed the sheets from my legs. "I didn't mean to wake you."

Königs expression softened and his body intended. He leaned back into his chair, his arms unfolding from underneath him.

"Sorry- i didn't mean to fall asleep." König said as he clasped his hands and held them out in a long stretch.

"I told you you needed your sleep." I laughed, but König responded with a sharp look.

"What's the time?" He stood up, checking the clock and nodding to himself.

"You have to go?" I questioned.

"I have time, no. If you want me to stay." He replied.

He tended to leave early in the day and returning when it was close to night. He never returned in the day, not like before. He had told me he was on break from his job at the moment, so he had the free time to visit me, but still had some work to do in the day. Although i suspected he just got in his sleep during that time, but perhaps i'll never know.

"I thought you work in the after noon?" I asked, doing my best to hide back a smile.

König paused. "I'm free today."

I couldn't help but let my smirk slip through. Perhaps i did know.

"Okay." I shook my head as i smiled, biting back a laugh and stepped up from my bed.

König stood still, his gloved hands finding their way in his front pockets.

"They have food or whatever in the cafeteria." I spoke in his silence.

"So if you want i'm-" I pointed a thumb in the direction of the bathroom to my left. "And you can go eat."

König again didn't talk, still standing and staring at me but he gave a short nod.

I tilted my head at him, expecting a response but decided to leave him be. He can do what he wants. I turned from him and swiftly moved to the bathroom door, stepping inside until i heard the click of the bathroom lock. I took a look in the mirror, grazing a finger along the bottom of eyes, they weren't as dark as they tended to be.

I turned on the bathroom sink and splashed some water on my face, the weirdly warm liquid dripping down my cheeks. I used the water to smooth out my eyebrows before reaching for one of the small towels draped onto the marble counter. I grabbed it and went to bring it to my face as i heard a door shut. I guess he finally decided to leave. That was until i heard a sudden voice, one that was definitely not Königs. It was muffled by the wall between us yet i could tell it was feminine, and i had an inkling on who it was.

I quickly tapped the edge of the towel across my face, setting it down and opening the door. I stepped out and looked to my left, taking in the small frame that now stood awkwardly by the door.

"Lina?"
