Chapter 33

I've felt so much better about myself, I've never felt so satisfied until now.

There was that time, during New Years and I was turning 19. I really didn't have anyone to celebrate with at that time, so obviously I celebrated alone, though it sounds sad— I really wasn't.

I remember sitting on top of our roof back in Canada. It was 11:54 and my last day of being a teenager, it all came rushing down to me that being a teenager wasn't what I always dreamed of.

It was also 2 days before I flew to New York, it wad crazy to think even my own parents weren't there.

As the clock hit 11:59, Manny, our driver, also known as being the father figure I never had— he went to the rood with me, along with our 5 maids, Maria, Drea, Shareen, Luna, and Roni. They stood as my family in our house.

Maria was holding the cake, a velvet one layer frosted cake— my all time favorite. The candle was gleaming as they all sang 'happy birthday' and as soon as the clock striked midnight, I blew my candle.

I couldn't help but felt the rush of happiness and content that I was with them. I felt so satisfied and grateful and sad that I won't have them once I'm here in New York.

I love them so much, even if most of them were replaced by my mom and hired new ones— I will never forget how much they meant to my childhood.

Feeling what I once felt, here in my bed— surprisingly on Graysons chest, naked, and the feeling of contentment? I feel great.

I felt Grayson slightly move, lifting his wrist, his morning voice, "What time is it?" as he looks at the watch on his wrist.

"I got a meeting in 2 hours." he says.

"What for?" I reply.

"Exal— finance, and meeting boring businessmen."

I chuckle. "I love the bars name. The way you switched your middle name? It's cute."

He paused for a bit, "You realized?" of course I did.

"Isn't it pretty obvious?" I tease.

After what he said last night, I felt like if I said something more— I could've said the wrong thing.

I think my eyes watered. It was just thinking that he acknowledged me, and actually cared.

He cared.

I sat up, holding the blanket on my chest. His finger circling around my back, "C'mon, I'm hungry— let's eat somewhere." I suggest.

He chuckles. "Shower with me, then we can go Mads."

So that's what we did, shower— with a little bit if sex but that's for another time.

I'm surprised Nicole still isn't here, usually she sneaks out on her boy toys, but this one takes a lot longer.

I'm also thinking about how I'm gonna take with Nate. How is he?

After dressing up and him using the hoodie I took from his apartment, we headed to the elevator.

"Where are we going, Richards?" I call him by his last name.

As leans against the wall, across from me, he smirks and puts his hands in his pockets.

"I don't know, Davis, where do you wanna go?"

I cross my arms and bitched my face.

"What?" he asks defensive, "You dragged me out of bed. So where do we go?"
