Adeline grabbed a few healing potions and ointments and threw them into a tote bag, then ran out of her bedroom. When she stepped outside she was quickly reminded that slippers and pajama's were not the best choice for a November night. The view from her window showed the boys running towards the forest but not the particular place.
Suddenly, it started raining. Bloody Hell. Adeline thought. She started making her way towards the forest when she lays eyes on the Whomping Willow. You're fucking me, she thought. The Shrieking Shack?? Adeline knew that had to be the place. She could either wait outside or play the hero and try to go stop Snape. I have to do the right thing don't I, fuck. Adeline glanced at her watch and saw it was midnight, Remus is probably turning right now. She set her healing supplies on the ground and got out her wand. She approached the tree and was about to try a spell to calm it down when James Potter ran out carrying a bloodied Snape.
"Adeline?? What the hell are you doing here??" James asked, startled and hurried.
"Saving his ass, lie him down." Adeline laid out a blanket for Snape to rest on. James obliged and set down Snape carefully.
"Is he just cut or was there any other damage." Adeline asked while examining his wounds.
"Uh, he might have a broken rib or two"
"Was he thrown against a wall?"
"Yeah, but like really, really hard... not like if I were to throw him" James responded careful to not give Remus away.
"Got it." Adeline responded knowing what he meant, then she got to work healing Snape. She worked quickly and a little recklessly, not believing that Snape deserved a careful hand. "Okay, he should be okay enough to make it to Pomfrey. You carry him and I'll follow"
"Okay"
The two wizards hurried to the infirmary, while being careful not to reopen Snape's wounds.
"What happened?" Madam Pomfrey asked as James and Adeline burst through the doors.
"Snape got hurt. Adeline patched him up, but it isn't perfect." James laid Snape down on one of the beds.
"Oh dear," Pomfrey started observing his wounds. "You did a good job Miss Wilson, I'll finish it off and do a full evaluation to make sure he's okay internally."
"Okay, I'll be outside, can you let me know when he wakes up?" Adeline asked.
"Miss Wilson he is going to need to rest-"
"Please Madam Pomfrey, I need to speak with him"
"Alright I'll be out to get you when he's ready."
Adeline and James exited the infirmary and sat on a bench outside. Adeline still in her pajamas and both of them soaking wet.
"Shouldn't you be getting back Lupin?" Adeline asked breaking their silence.
"He has Sirius and Peter, he'll be oka- I mean what are you talking about. Moony is fine, he is great. We were just hanging out in the forest. Ya know how it is. Just boys being boys." James stammered out.
"I'm not stupid James. I know what happened."
"I guarantee you do not."
"Remus is a werewolf and Snape is an idiot who followed you guys to get proof of it"
"What? Remus is a werewolf? No way. He would've told me that." James responded not very convincingly.
"Potter."
"Fuck. I guess you do know what happened."
"Yep."
"How long have you known? Does Remus know you know?"
