I tried fighting it off but my body couldn't any longer. This time around, I was the one who got sick. It was probably because of the trip to Colorado and someone on our flight was still contagious.

I woke up with a horrible cough and tried hiding it from Andy.

"Darling?" Andy asked from the bedroom.

I was currently in the bathroom hacking up a lung. It felt horrible.

"Yes?" I tried replying.

"Are you ok? You sound like you are well, dying," Andy mumbled as the door opened to the bathroom.

"I think I am sick," I tried to reply before a  coughing fit took over my chest.

Andy frowned.

"Aw darling," Andy replied as he felt my forehead.

"I don't feel warm it's just this really chesty cough that kept me awake most of the night," I told Andy.

"You didn't sleep?" Andy asked as he held my face in his hands.

I shook my head.

"How did you hide your cough?" Andy asked me.

"I coughed into my pillow or ran in here to cough," I told him.

"I feel bad because I didn't hear you suffering," Andy replied sadly.

"It's ok love I mean you can take care of me now," I suggested as I coughed into my arm.

"First things first, take a warm shower while I go get some tea going," Andy instructed.

"Should I call the doctor to make an appointment?" I asked Andy.

"Let's give it a few days I think darling. If it's a common cold or just like a respiratory allergy issue, then it should resolve within a few days with lots of rest," Andy told me as he kissed my forehead.

"Sounds like a plan love," I replied as I went to grab another set of pajamas to put on after my shower.

"I'll take care of you as you've always taken care of me," Andy commented before disappearing to the kitchen.

I just smiled to myself.

And so, I headed to shower.

I was not one to be sick or have the need to rest. I always was on the go no matter how I felt. This was a setback in my current situation.

I finished my shower and came back out to bed to find Andy with a cup of tea waiting and the television on.

"Did the shower make you feel better?" Andy asked me as he helped me adjust the pillows on our bed so I could be propped up.

"Well sort of but not really. Do we have any cold or flu medicine?" I asked Andy.

"I can look darling but if we don't, I can go run and get some at Walgreens,"  Andy told me sweetly.

Andy went to the medicine cabinet while I started sipping on the tea.

"Darling we have some but its not a lot," Andy told me from the bathroom.

"Is it enough to last a few days?" I asked him.

It was quite for a second.

"I'll have to run to Walgreens just so we make sure you have everything to heal," Andy commented.

I sighed. I didn't want to be left alone.

"Oh ok love," I replied as I stifled a cough into the comforter.

Andy came back to this and sighed.

"I'll be right back darling. I shouldn't be gone for more than 30 minutes. Finish your tea and then you can take these and maybe we can fall asleep for a bit," Andy told me.
