"They want us to come out to Florida for Thanksgiving?" I asked Andy as I had just walked into the house after shopping.

"Yeah, darling Barry and Linda want us to come down that weekend. I know it's last minute," Andy told me as he helped bring in the bags from Kmart.

I sighed as I unloaded the bags.

"I mean I wouldn't have to worry about cooking," I contemplated.

"We have 10 days to get ready to go. We will leave on Tuesday and come back Monday," Andy told me.

"You know what I think it would be good. Thanksgiving in Florida sounds wonderful," I told him as I took the new dish towels out of a bag.

"I'll get the tickets booked," Andy commented happily.

Though I didn't want to leave the house for the holiday, it just meant we had less to do for the Thanksgiving holiday.

I finished putting up all the stuff I had bought. Andy was on the phone with our travel agent.

The only thing I wanted to do for Christmas now was go back home.

I went to the hall closet to put the bath soap I had bought away. When I came back, Andy stopped me.

"We are all set darling just going to pay now," Andy told me.

"Sounds good," I told him.

"Thank you for agreeing to this," Andy remarked.

I smiled.

"Hey I couldn't pass up a mini vacation," I joked.

"The only thing is they are probably gonna want you to make some of the pies because your pumpkin one is the best. I've raved about it," Andy told me.

I chuckled.

"Ok deal," I told him as I kissed his cheek and I disappeared back to the kitchen.

Andy chuckled to himself as he finished up the transaction on the phone.

I went to take my shoes off and got comfortable to start some house chores. I needed to do laundry and I also needed to vacuum the house.

Andy joined me in the laundry room after a while.

"So it's all set for our departure next week," Andy remarked proudly.

"Oh good! So it went smooth?" I asked as I got the soap into the washer.

"Yes it went perfectly darling," Andy told me.

"So I have 10 days to pack outfits?" I asked him joking.

"Yes lovey," Andy told me as he took the laundry basket and put it on top of the dryer.

I smiled at him.

"Ok so now what else do you gotta do?" Andy asked me.

"I need to vacuum," I told him.

"I can do that," Andy told me as he grabbed the vacuum and went to the living room.

"You don't have to," I told him.

"I have to pull my weight around here too," Andy told me as he went to plug the vacuum in.

"Andy you are too much sometimes," I told him.

"And so what?" Andy commented as he glanced at me before turning the vacuum on.

I rolled my eyes as I went to go clean up the kitchen a bit. I  wiped down the counters and did some of the dishes we had left from the morning.

Andy had just about finished the vacuuming and was heading to put it up.

"Where are the vacuum bags? This one seems too full for the next time," Andy told me.

"In the pantry closet right next to the garbage bags," I told him as I put the dishes into the dishwasher.

I always washed the dishes first and then put them into the dishwasher.

"Thanks darling," Andy told me.

"Of course," I replied smiling.

Andy disappeared to the pantry while I went to check on Biscuit who was aimlessly roaming outside.

She loved being outdoors and running around. Biscuit loved hanging out by Chestnut's stable.

I went and stood on the porch as the fall breeze blew around me. It felt good after working up a sweat.

"How's it going darling?" Andy asked as he wrapped his arms around me.

"Fine just needed to cool off," I commented.

"Well was there anything else on your to-do list?" Andy asked.

I shook my head.

"No that was it. We just gotta wait for the laundry to be put in the dryer," I told him.

"Sounds like a plan to me," Andy replied as he kissed my temple.

"Always so protective aren't ya?" I asked.

"I have to be protective. You are the most important person in my life," Andy told me proudly.

"Dawwww," I commented as I looked at the ground.

"It's true and you know it," Andy remarked as he gave me a squeeze.

"I well yes I know that," I chuckled to myself.

"Good that was my intention," Andy joked.

"You crazy boy," I told him.

"You married him," Andy commented as I turned to face him.

"Haha love," I commented.

"It's true," Andy remarked as I turned to face him.

"Just shut up and kiss me," I told him.

"If you say so," Andy leaned in but didn't kiss me.

I opened my eyes and pouted.

"You freakin tease," I remarked as I rolled my eyes.

Andy leaned in close again and but chuckled.

"Ok fine then don't kiss me," I told him as I began to walk away.

Andy pulled me back into his arms and kissed me.

"There," Andy told me as he kissed me.

"Woah love," I commented in shock.

"You asked for it so I delivered," Andy told me proudly.

I rolled my eyes.

"Let's go check on the laundry," I told him as we headed inside with Biscuit.

To a typical housewife afternoon at home.
