"Andy knock it off," I scolded my husband.
He wasn't listening to anything I was saying about my arm. It was 99% fine but he still wouldn't let me do anything.
"The doctors told you to take it easy still with stuff," Andy defended.
"Okay and so what?" I asked him.
"I'm just trying to help darling," Andy told me as I attempted to hold my cup with my right hand.
Andy's eyes widened.
"Ok if I'm not allowed to even try this don't even try to sweet talk me later," I told him.
"Hey hey hey," Andy remarked.
"If I cannot hold my own coffee cup in your own eyes, how can I do anything else special?" I asked him.
Andy groaned at my anaylzation.
"Really darling?" Andy complained.
"Yes," I told him as I put my coffee cup down.
"I didn't think of that," Andy remarked.
I laughed.
"Somebody misses me," I whispered.
"Nuh uh," Andy defended.
"Sure love I believe you," I told Andy.
"You don't believe me look at your eyes. They tell a thousand stories," Andy told me.
"Shut up," I scolded Andy.
I went to put my mug in the kitchen so I could go get ready.
"Do you still need help getting undressed?" Andy asked.
"I honestly don't know until I try," I told Andy as I went up the stairs to the bedroom to get my things ready for the day.
"The doctor said the muscle was like 95 percent healed right?" Andy asked.
"Yeah that's why I don't need the sling anymore," I told Andy.
"Well see how it feels to take your pajama top off by yourself of course," Andy told me.
I chuckled at his boyish behavior. Or was Andy really trying to be compassionate with me?
I undid the top of my shirt with my right hand and for the first time in over a week, it didn't hurt.
"Well by the look on your face, it looks to be you are fine darling," Andy told me.
"Yes thank god," I told him as I disappeared to go shower.
Andy was truly over the top when it came to me and my needs. He was just trying to be helpful.
After I was finished getting ready, Andy was sitting on the edge of the bed waiting for me.
"Soooo?" Andy asked me curiously.
"My arm feels fine love," I told him as I joined him on the bed.
"That's good darling," Andy told me.
I felt like he felt a little loss with what he was gonna have to do for me now.
"So you don't have to play nurse anymore," I told him as I went to grab my makeup bag.
"Ok well, that's good I guess," Andy remarked as he watched my every move.
I put my makeup bag on the bed and walked over to him.
I looked down at Andy as he snaked his arms around my waist.
"Thank you for everything the past week love I do appreciate it a lot," I told Andy.
"Of course darling it's my duty to take care of you," he told me as he got the biggest basset-hound eyes.
I smiled at his comment.
"I think I better get ready though I do love spending time in your arms," I told him as I gave his forehead a kiss.
Andy groaned.
"We need to dedicate a day to do nothing," Andy explained to me as I crawled on top of the bed and grabbed my makeup bag.
"Why not Sunday? We can just do absolutely nothing at all. Have brunch," I listed off.
"And spend all day in bed?" Andy asked without a second thought.
"We can stay in bed all day," I told him as he sighed contently.
"Good I love the plan darling," Andy smiled contently to himself.
I rolled my eyes at his comment.
"So what else do we got to do on our agenda for today?" I asked him.
Since it was Saturday, pretty much all we had to do was shopping and such.
"We need to go get some food for Biscuit and get that hay picked up for Brownie's stable," Andy told me.
"Ok sounds like a plan," I told him.
Here was to a typical Saturday morning full of errands.
